How many days will the cesarean section contractions last?

Many women choose cesarean section when giving birth because the delivery process will be faster and less painful. However, for some women, the pain of uterine contractions will be greater after the cesarean section. Therefore, most women will experience uterine contraction pain for a period of time after the cesarean section, and the degree of pain varies. So how many days will the uterine contractions hurt after a cesarean section?

1. Pregnant women can feel uterine contraction pain after cesarean section, but everyone's feelings are different. Relatively speaking, the pain of uterine contractions during the second pregnancy is greater than that of the first pregnancy, but this pain should be tolerable without the need for medication. Cesarean section, also known as cesarean section, is a surgery to cut open the abdominal wall and uterus to remove the fetus. The timing of uterine contractions during cesarean section is not fixed and varies from person to person. During the entire recovery period of the uterus, which is 42 days, the uterus has the effect of contracting the abdomen every day, but the contraction force is stronger in the first few days.

2. After a cesarean section (including normal delivery), uterine contractions will cause uterine pain during the process of uterine involution, especially in multiparous women. This symptom is more obvious. The symptoms of postpartum uterine contraction pain are generally most obvious within three days after delivery, gradually ease after three days, and disappear in about a week. Postpartum uterine contraction pain is a normal phenomenon, and the degree of pain is also related to the individual's sensitivity to pain. 6-12 hours after the cesarean section, you should get out of bed and move around as soon as possible to promote the discharge of blood stasis, facilitate postpartum uterine recovery, and shorten the duration of postpartum uterine contractions.

3. Changing sleeping positions can relieve pain. Let the mother sleep on her side and avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time to reduce pain in this area. It can also be helpful to put a cushion under the mother's buttocks when sitting. In addition, massage the lower abdomen, that is, in the first few days after delivery, you can use your palms to apply a little force on the mother's abdomen to make circular massage until you feel that part harden, to promote the discharge of residual substances in the uterine cavity; when the pain is severe, massage can temporarily relax the uterine muscles and relieve pain.
