Is the mortality rate of caesarean section high?

Is the mortality rate of caesarean section high?

Caesarean section is currently a more common method of delivery, and the delivery process is smoother than natural delivery, but some women may encounter accidents during the caesarean section. Of course, this situation is also related to women’s own bodies. Therefore, there is a possibility of death during caesarean section, so you must be careful. So is the mortality rate of caesarean section high for women?

1. Clinically, there are two ways of delivery: natural delivery and cesarean section. Cesarean section is when a difficult labor occurs. For example, fetal distress, umbilical cord being too short, umbilical cord knotting, placental abruption, placenta previa, labor block, etc., all require cesarean section to end delivery. The mortality rate is still very low. The main reason is that there is a possibility of amniotic fluid embolism during childbirth, which leads to a relatively high mortality rate. Active prevention and control will not be a big problem.

2. The mortality rate of caesarean section is not high, and there is no difference between a baby born by caesarean section and a natural baby. It is recommended not to worry too much. During this period, you must do a good prenatal check-up, get proper rest in your daily life, avoid excessive fatigue, and go to the hospital in time when the due date is approaching, and then receive prenatal care under the guidance of a doctor.

3. Natural childbirth is a normal physiological process in human reproduction and an instinctive behavior of human beings. This process is not only painful, but also has good eugenic effects. Both mother and baby have the potential to actively participate in and complete the birthing process. Starting from the fertilized egg, the fetus undergoes 40 weeks of growth and development in the mother's body and gradually matures, while the pregnant woman's body structure gradually undergoes a series of physiological changes, becoming more conducive to childbirth. Today's medical technology is very advanced, and the mortality rate of caesarean section is very low, which can basically guarantee the safety of both adults and children. However, babies born by caesarean section may have low resistance and are more likely to get sick as they grow. Therefore, if both parents agree to choose natural birth, it is very good for the baby and can give the baby a healthy body.
