Decreased fetal movement at 26 weeks of pregnancy

Decreased fetal movement at 26 weeks of pregnancy

When there are signs of fetal movement, pregnant women can also observe the frequency of fetal movement appropriately, which can effectively infer whether there are any abnormal problems with the fetus in the belly. The 26th week of pregnancy is the mid-stage of pregnancy. Under normal circumstances, the fetus moves more frequently at this time. But there are also some pregnant women who find that the frequency of fetal movement is gradually decreasing at 26 weeks of pregnancy. What is going on?

1. I am now 26 weeks pregnant. If you do not feel fetal movement today, or if the fetal movement is weak, further examination is needed. So in your case, it is necessary to go to the hospital for a color Doppler ultrasound examination. After confirming that the fetus is not suffering from hypoxia, fetal heart rate monitoring can be performed. If there are no problems with the fetal heart monitoring examination, you can rest and observe the need for enhanced nutrition for the time being.

2. Abnormal fetal movement may be related to fatigue, body position, emotional fluctuations, hypoxia, etc. If the fetal heart rate is normal, you can observe it temporarily, pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. Regular prenatal checkups should be done during pregnancy, and you can go to the hospital for a four-dimensional color ultrasound examination when you are 22-28 weeks pregnant. Usually engage in appropriate outdoor activities and get more sun exposure.

3. Decreased fetal movement at 26 weeks of pregnancy may be due to fetal growth retardation, the fetal weight is not appropriate for 5 weeks of pregnancy, or the growth rate is too slow. The fetal movement may be less than that of a normal fetus, or it may be due to umbilical cord compression. When the umbilical cord is compressed due to the fetal posture or the pregnant mother's movements, it may cause fetal hypoxia, ischemia, and reduced fetal movement. Poor placental function can also cause fetal growth retardation and reduce the frequency of fetal movements.
