What to do if your pelvis is wide after giving birth

What to do if your pelvis is wide after giving birth

After giving birth, the mother's pelvis will become wider, mainly because the pelvis is where the fetus grows. After the fetus is born, the pelvis will begin to shrink and return to its original state. However, some mothers' pelvises cannot shrink to their original state. This is mainly caused by increased secretion of relaxin and pelvic dislocation. Therefore, when the pelvis becomes wider, mothers can take the following measures for treatment.

After a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth, her pelvis widens and her hips become larger. The reason for this is that women secrete relaxin during childbirth, which causes the joints and pelvis to relax and become wider, allowing the baby to be delivered smoothly. To improve pelvic width, you can take the following steps:

1. Use a belly band: You may think that it is impossible to restore the widened pelvis. However, some mothers used abdominal belts during the confinement period to stabilize their pelvis, tighten their hips, prevent pelvic dislocation, and have a good effect on pelvic repositioning and correction.

2. Pelvic reduction surgery: At present, many mothers who want to improve the widening of the pelvis have undergone pelvic reduction surgery. Most mothers have achieved good results through the surgery. This surgery will not feel particularly painful. If the widening of the pelvis is not serious, it usually takes two or three months to recover.

3. Appropriate exercise: The widening of the pelvis after childbirth can be restored through some exercises. The mother can do vaginal tightening exercises when standing, and then combine them with lying exercises. After a period of correction, the widening of the pelvis can be restored.
