Many pregnant women have a great fear of cesarean sections, and always feel that cesarean sections may cause them great pain. In fact, there will be severe labor pains only during the period of delivery. When it comes to cesarean sections, they will not feel this pain again. Anesthesia will be injected, but after the anesthetic wears off, pregnant women may feel some dull pain in their wound area. Cesarean section (Cesarean section) is an important operation in the field of obstetrics. The first live cesarean section occurred in 1610, when surgeons Trautmann and Gusth performed the first cesarean section on a woman, but the woman died 25 days after the operation. At present, due to the progress in anesthesiology, blood transfusion, infusion, water and electricity balance knowledge, as well as improvements in surgical methods, surgical suture materials and infection control measures, cesarean section has become an effective means to solve dystocia and certain obstetric complications and to save the lives of mothers and perinatal infants. Vaginal delivery is a natural and physiological way of delivery. The mother can recover quickly after delivery and the newborn can better adapt to the external environment. A cesarean section is a surgical procedure in which the uterus is opened through the abdomen to remove the fetus. The rates of intraoperative bleeding, postoperative thrombosis, placenta previa and uterine rupture in subsequent pregnancies among women who undergo cesarean section are much higher than those among women who give birth vaginally. At the same time, the rates of respiratory dysfunction and amblyopia in newborns born by cesarean section are higher than those in newborns born vaginally, and their resistance is much lower than that of newborns born vaginally. Cesarean section without medical indication not only fails to reduce perinatal mortality, but increases postoperative morbidity and maternal mortality. Therefore, cesarean section without medical indication is not recommended. Abnormal fetus or fetal position: For example, some breech presentations, transverse presentations, and abnormal head presentations (high upright presentation, frontal presentation, posterior chin presentation, etc.) are not suitable for vaginal delivery. There are also certain situations in twins or multiple pregnancies (the first twin is in breech position, transverse position, or conjoined twins, etc.) that are not suitable for vaginal delivery. In addition, cesarean section is recommended for some correctable fetal abnormalities, the fetus cannot tolerate the delivery process, or some part of the fetus is abnormal and cannot pass through the birth canal. |
