What to do if a pregnant woman has dermatitis

What to do if a pregnant woman has dermatitis

Dermatitis is a disease that can cause great pain to people because when dermatitis symptoms appear, the patient will experience extremely strong itching. Dermatitis may occur in all kinds of people, for example, many pregnant women may suffer from dermatitis problems. However, for pregnant women, they should not take medication at will when dermatitis occurs. So, what should pregnant women do if they have dermatitis?

1. What to do if pregnant women have dermatitis on their faces

Winter melon juice: prepare 200 grams of winter melon with skin, cut into pieces, and cook the juice for consumption.

Bitter melon: Regular consumption of bitter melon can relieve itching, remove dampness, detoxify and clear away heat, and is beneficial for the treatment of skin diseases such as heat toxins, prickly heat, boils, dermatitis and eczema.

Barley and red bean decoction: prepare 20 grams of red beans and 35 grams of barley, put them into water and cook until the beans are soft, then add appropriate amount of white sugar, take it in the morning and evening.

Cucumber decoction: Select 35 grams of cucumber peel, boil it with a small amount of water for 5 minutes, then add a small amount of white sugar, take it 3 times a day, divided into doses.

Purslane decoction: This method is also good, but you must pay attention to taking it in divided doses every day after decoction.

Chives: Eating more chives is very helpful to our body because chives have a detoxifying effect.

Mung bean and kelp porridge: 30 grams of mung beans, 50 grams of soaked kelp, appropriate amount of brown sugar, appropriate amount of glutinous rice. Boil mung beans and glutinous rice into porridge, add chopped kelp, cook for another 3 minutes, then add brown sugar.

2. If you have neurodermatitis during pregnancy, you should use as little medication as possible

Experts say that there are a variety of drugs and methods to treat neurodermatitis. If you get the disease during pregnancy, different methods of medication will have different effects on the fetus. The impact of local medication is smaller than that of systemic medication (oral or injection), and Chinese medicine is smaller than Western medicine. Generally speaking, the drugs used to treat this disease are safe.

"But 'all medicines are poisonous'. The probability and degree of the effect of drugs on the fetus are related to factors such as the type, dosage, duration and individual differences of the drugs. With the current scientific level, it is difficult to determine in advance whether the drugs have no effect on the pregnancy or the fetus. Therefore, use medications as cautiously as possible during pregnancy. If they are not necessary, try not to use them. If they can be used locally, do not use them systemically." Dr. Wei Hui reminds pregnant women who have skin problems not to buy or apply medicine on their own, but to consult a professional doctor.

When medication is necessary, you must choose the right one. Taking commonly used antihistamines as an example, chlorpheniramine and cyproheptadine are relatively safer, while the safety of loratadine has not yet been clarified. It is recommended to use it only when it is absolutely necessary during pregnancy. Acupuncture therapy can also be applied, but certain acupoints such as Hegu and Sanyinjiao are prohibited.

3. How should pregnant women with dermatitis be treated so as not to affect the fetus?

Experts say that if pregnant women suffer from dermatitis or eczema, they should actively look for the cause and isolate allergens in time. In particular, dermatitis and eczema are prone to recurrence. In order to avoid recurrence after contact, do not be overly nervous in life, keep the skin clean and hygienic, and the water temperature should not be too high when bathing.
