Redness and swelling at the junction of the vulva and anus

The part where the vulva and anus are connected may be red and swollen, which may be a manifestation of genital inflammation. There are many reasons for the redness and swelling of the genital system, such as bacterial infection and Trichomonas virus. It may also be caused by wearing tight underwear for a long time, the material is unhealthy, or often wearing tight pants that are not breathable, which are the main causes of inflammation.

What causes vaginitis redness and swelling?

For example, itching often occurs in the clitoris and labia minora, and may also spread to the vulva majora and perineum, and even worse in the skin lesions such as the perianal area. This disease seriously endangers women's health. There are many causes of the disease, and it may be closely related to endocrine disorders. Some women will experience itching in the vulva due to psychological reasons when they are under mental stress. What causes vulvar redness and swelling?

1. Causes of the disease

Vulvar infections such as sexually transmitted diseases, vulvitis caused by viruses, bacteria, Trichomonas, fungi, etc. The vulva is the primary and most common site of onset. In addition, systemic diseases such as diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus, papular psoriasis, vulvar malignant tumors such as vulvar cancer, vulvar Paget's disease, vaginal cancer, etc. can also cause vulvar redness and swelling. There are also cases where foreign objects are placed in the vagina for a long time, such as a pessary, or foreign objects remain in the vagina, which can cause infection and irritation of the vulva, resulting in swelling and pain.

2. External causes

1. Vaginitis caused by tight-crotch pants: Nowadays, many women pursue fashion and perfection, and usually wear tight pants to show their figure. However, they don’t know that because the pants are too tight and not breathable, vaginal secretions are not easy to dissipate, which can induce redness, swelling and itching of the vulva and cause vaginitis.

2. Vaginitis during menarche in teenage girls: Many women have their first menstruation. Due to lack of knowledge about menstruation, they do not know or pay no attention to menstrual hygiene and use unclean toilet paper indiscriminately, which causes the vulva to be contaminated by unclean toilet paper, menstrual belts and tampons. Bacteria take the opportunity to breed and invade, and the vaginal secretions increase, which irritates the vulva for a long time and induces redness, swelling and itching of the vulva.
