How long does it take for herpes zoster to heal?

Vulvar herpes is mainly caused by bacterial infection. It is best for female friends to go to the hospital for treatment and not to use drugs indiscriminately, otherwise it will cause the vulvar itching to worsen. If vulvar herpes zoster is treated properly, it can usually be cured in one month. This disease is caused by a virus that enters the human body through the respiratory tract. The disease can cause vulvar itching and nerve numbness, and is more common in autumn and winter.

If you have shingles on your vulva, you should go to the hospital for a detailed examination in time and receive corresponding treatment according to the doctor's advice. Do not take some medicine blindly on your own. With proper treatment, it will gradually get better in two to three weeks. Don't worry too much.

The disease is caused by the varicella virus. The virus enters the human body through the respiratory mucosa and spreads through the blood, causing the formation of chickenpox. Many people become carriers of the virus because they do not develop chickenpox after being infected with the virus.

After the varicella virus infiltrates the sensory nerve endings of the skin, it will transfer along the nerves to the ganglia of the posterior roots of the spinal cord and then hide. When people's cellular immune function declines, such as when they suffer from a cold, fever, etc., the virus becomes active, destroying the ganglia and causing them to necrotize, and activating other viruses to enter the skin and cause herpes. Rarely, the herpes virus may spread to the anterior horn cells of the spinal cord and visceral nerve fibers, causing motor nerve paralysis.

Some patients become carriers of the virus without any symptoms. Because the varicella virus is neurotropic, it will hide in the neurons of the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal nerves. Once the body's resistance is reduced or a cold occurs, the virus will multiply and invade the skin again, causing severe inflammation of the affected nerves and skin.

Prevent infection. Infection is one of the causes of this disease. Elderly patients should prevent infection from various diseases, especially in the autumn season, when the weather alternates between cold and warm. They should add or remove clothes in time to avoid upper respiratory tract infections caused by cold. In addition, inflammation of the oral cavity and nasal cavity should be actively treated.

5. Prevent trauma. Trauma can easily reduce the body's disease resistance and lead to the occurrence of this disease. Therefore, elderly patients should be careful to avoid trauma. Avoid contact with toxic substances. Try to avoid contact with chemicals and toxic drugs to prevent damage to the skin, affect your health, and reduce your body's resistance.
