How long should I lie down after the test tube transplant?

After completing the IVF transplant, in order to increase the success rate, women generally need to rest in bed. The rest time also varies according to personal physical condition. It is generally recommended that you lie in bed and rest for 48 hours after the IVF transplant. It is best not to engage in heavy physical labor before you are sure whether you are pregnant. Next, I will introduce to you some precautions after test tube transplantation!

1. Bed rest

Rest in bed for 48 hours after transplantation and try to lie flat. Do not turn over or get up forcefully in bed. When getting up, turn sideways and support your body with your hands before getting up. After 48 hours, you can lean on the bed (angle less than 45 degrees), watch less TV, and surf the Internet less. After 3 days, you can engage in small activities indoors within 5 days, and after 5 days, you can engage in small activities outdoors. Especially at work, you should not overwork yourself. It is best not to go to work until pregnancy is detected. The embryo implants in 3-5 days and takes root in 6-8 days, so you must pay attention to the first 8 days, especially the second to sixth days which are the critical period.

2. Don’t take a bath immediately

Do not take a bath within 48 hours after the IVF transplant, and do not soak in a bath, sauna, hot spring or jacuzzi. In the future, you can take a bath and wash your hair every other day or at longer intervals. Be careful not to let the water temperature be too cold or too hot, and pay great attention to safety when showering.

3. Avoid strenuous exercise

After the transplant, you should avoid strenuous exercise, do not stretch forcefully, do not tiptoe, do not raise your hands high, do not squat, do not lift heavy objects, do not walk fast, do not jog, do not ride a bicycle, but you can walk slowly. Do not go up or down stairs within 3 days after the transplant.

After the transplant, pay attention to a light diet and eat more vegetables and protein-rich foods. Foods that are not recommended: alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, tea, sesame oil, papaya, crab, turtle, longan, coix seed, hawthorn, leek, etc., as these are not good for the embryo. You cannot take supplements; you cannot eat foods that promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis; you cannot eat foods that have the function of removing dampness and toxins.

5. Avoid sexual activity
