Reasons for not giving birth naturally

When it comes to childbirth methods, natural childbirth has always been the method of childbirth inherited by mankind. The main thing is that during the process of natural childbirth, both the baby and the mother are giving their all. However, whether a woman is suitable for a natural birth is often related to factors such as the mother's physical condition, fetal position, birth canal, and labor force. If conditions do not allow, a natural birth is often not recommended to avoid putting the mother's life in danger. So what are the reasons for not having a normal birth?

1. Abnormalities in the birth canal

1. Impact on pregnant women

If the part of the baby that is first exposed is obstructed when entering the pelvis, it will lead to abnormal fetal position. At this time, the uterine contractions will be too strong, and in severe cases, uterine rupture may occur. Or the fetal presenting part cannot be connected with the birth canal, which may cause rupture of the fetal membrane, which may cause infection or exhaustion of the pregnant mother.

2. Impact on the fetus

If there is an abnormality in the birth canal, the baby's head may be abnormally squeezed, which may cause damage to its head, or even cause hypoxia. In addition, if the fetal head is in a floating state, the umbilical cord may be exposed first, which may cause distress or even life-threatening situations for the fetus.

2. Insufficient productivity

1. Impact on pregnant women

If pregnant mothers do not get enough rest or eat too little, their physical strength will be depleted quickly during the delivery process, which may lead to fatigue. More serious cases may cause bloating or difficulty urinating, and may also cause the fetus's presenting part to drop or rotate inward. Moreover, since the fetal head compresses the pelvic soft tissue of pregnant mothers for a long time, this may cause necrosis or shedding of some maternal tissues, directly causing vesicovaginal and rectal fistulas, etc.

2. Impact on the fetus

Insufficient labor force will cause abnormal rotation of the fetal head in the pelvic cavity. If the rotation is severe, the baby can only be taken out by cesarean section, otherwise it will cause fetal distress and will affect the baby's physique and intelligence for a long time.

3. Fetal abnormalities

1. Impact on pregnant women

If there is any abnormality in the fetus, the labor process will be prolonged and surgery will most likely be required, which will cause damage to the mother's soft birth canal. In addition, new mothers will suffer from more severe postpartum bleeding and infection. If they are compressed for a long time, tissue necrosis may occur in the birth canal, eventually causing genital fistula.

When the baby is face first, it can cause delayed delivery, passive perineal tearing, and even uterine rupture, which can be life-threatening!

2. Impact on the fetus

Because of the prolonged labor and delivery process, the baby is more likely to get into distress or suffocate in the womb, and the possibility of fetal death in the womb will also greatly increase. In addition, if the face is exposed first, the baby's face may become deformed, the skin may become bluish, and the eyelids and lips may become swollen, requiring enhanced care.

Therefore, the risks of natural childbirth are actually not small, but if pregnant mothers can pay attention during pregnancy, I believe they can still cope with it!
