Mild cervical lesions

Mild cervical lesions

Mild cervical lesions can cause cervical erosion in patients. If the mild lesions are not serious, we can use medication to treat them. Then, for cases where the erosion area is larger and the inflammation is deeper, we need to use laser and freezing methods. Mild cervical erosion requires patients to pay attention to cervical hygiene, take medication, change underwear frequently, and avoid sexual intercourse.

1. Is the cervical lesion serious?

Whether cervical lesions are serious depends on the extent of cervical lesions. Cervical lesions were formerly known as cervical erosion, which can be divided into first degree, second degree, and third degree. It is distinguished based on the area of cervical erosion as a percentage of the area of the cervix. If the erosion area accounts for one-third of the area of the cervix, it is called mild erosion, between one-third and two-thirds is called second degree erosion, and greater than two-thirds is called third degree. If it is just inflammation, three degrees is not a problem. However, if it is malignant, even a mild one can be dangerous.

2. What are the treatments for cervical lesions?

2.1. Drug diagnosis and treatment of cervical erosion is suitable for patients with small erosion area and shallow inflammatory infiltration. It is recommended to use Shifadi antiviral gel, which has a good effect.

2.2. Physical therapy is a widely used treatment method for cervical erosion, which has the advantages of short treatment course and good efficacy. It is suitable for patients with larger erosion area and deeper inflammatory infiltration. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy.

2.3. Surgical treatment of cervical erosion: If the above treatments are ineffective, or if there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and extensive, and involves the cervical canal, cervical conization or total hysterectomy may be considered. However, few patients choose surgical treatment for cervical erosion.

3. How to prevent cervical lesions

3.1. Pay attention to sexual hygiene

Attention should be paid to the hygiene and cleanliness of sexual life of both parties, and the intensity and frequency of sexual life should be controlled to avoid bad behaviors such as extramarital sex or multiple sexual partners.

3.2. Protect the cervix

When conducting a gynecological examination or performing a gynecological surgery, you should choose a regular and professional gynecological hospital and an experienced doctor to avoid damaging the cervix during the operation and causing infection.

3.3. Gynecological diseases should be treated promptly

Cervical erosion may be caused by other diseases. If a woman has irregular menstruation, she should seek treatment as soon as possible. Otherwise, a long menstrual cycle or excessive menstrual flow will stimulate the cervical skin for a long time and cause inflammation.

3.4. Regular gynecological examinations

In daily life, you should go to a professional gynecological hospital regularly for cervical health checks to ensure early detection and treatment of cervical diseases.
