You don’t need to prepare too many things when you go to the hospital for medical abortion. Generally speaking, you only need to bring sanitary napkins, toilet paper, etc.

1. Medical abortion is only suitable for women who become pregnant within 50 days of amenorrhea.

2. Before taking the medicine, you must have an ultrasound examination to understand the size and position of the embryonic sac to help determine whether medical abortion is suitable.

3. Take medicine strictly according to the doctor's instructions.

4. The expelled tissue must be collected and given to the doctor to determine whether the embryo was expelled completely.

5. After miscarriage, you can take Chinese medicine that promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis, such as: Chantai oral liquid, Chanfukang, etc.

6. If bleeding lasts for more than 10 days, go to the hospital for treatment.

The most commonly used drug in clinical practice now is mifepristone (Ru-486, an anti-progesterone autologous drug) combined with misoprostol. This drug only needs to be taken for 3 consecutive days. The first 2 days should be taken at home or at work, one tablet each time, twice a day. After taking the medicine on the 3rd day, go to the hospital outpatient department for observation for 6 hours.

Currently, medical regulations stipulate that medical abortion can only be used in health care institutions with certain equipment to perform surgical curettage in cases of heavy bleeding or prolonged bleeding, as well as anti-infection, infusion and blood transfusion treatment.
