Pregnant women always have diarrhea

Pregnant women always have diarrhea

It is a common phenomenon that pregnant women always have diarrhea. Diarrhea in pregnant women is usually caused by their unreasonable diet. Of course, in addition to the symptoms of diarrhea, pregnant women cannot deal with it blindly, especially not taking medicine at will, because this will greatly affect the growth and development of the fetus. So, what should pregnant women do if they always have diarrhea?

1. Use medication with caution and consult a professional doctor

If diarrhea is caused by infectious factors, it is necessary for pregnant women to use antibiotics. However, pregnant women cannot take medicine on their own and must be guided by a doctor. Many antibiotics may have teratogenic side effects. Pregnant women must use them with caution during pregnancy, especially in the first three months of pregnancy, and it is best not to use them, otherwise it is likely to cause fetal malformations.

2. It is recommended to use mild drugs

Diarrhea is mainly caused by abnormally accelerated intestinal motility. Some milder anti-diarrhea drugs can be used to reduce intestinal movement by absorbing water in the intestines. Do not use opium-based drugs to stop diarrhea. This type of drug can only temporarily relieve the pain of diarrhea in pregnant women. The bacteria in the intestines are likely to continue to regenerate and infect each other. The result can only be an increase in the frequency of diarrhea in pregnant women and worsening of diarrhea.

3. If symptoms are severe, seek medical attention immediately

Pregnant women can also use some drugs to adjust the intestinal flora and maintain the balance of intestinal microecology. After the intestines move normally, the symptoms of diarrhea in pregnant women will disappear. Generally, pregnant women can resume normal bowel movements within 4 days. If a pregnant woman's diarrhea symptoms do not improve, she should go to the hospital for colonoscopy and other tests.

4. Adhere to the principle of conditioning first, and then take medicine if conditioning is ineffective

When a pregnant woman suffers from diarrhea, the first thing she should do is to regulate herself. She should replenish the lost water and electrolytes in the body by eating liquid food, choose to eat pastries and other foods to replenish the body's energy, and stop eating vegetables, fruits and meat. Pregnant women should use antibiotics with caution when self-treatment is ineffective.

5. Develop good living habits

In many cases, diarrhea in pregnant women is caused by irregular diet. When diarrhea symptoms occur, pregnant women should reduce food intake, eat more liquid food, add some salt to the food, and replenish the body with water and electrolytes. At this time, do not eat foods that are difficult to digest or irritating to the intestines.
