Fetal movement after entering the pelvis

Fetal movement after entering the pelvis

When the fetus enters the pelvis, it means the stage of preparing for delivery. At this time, the baby is basically mature and is about to leave the mother's body, but it does not mean that you need to wait for a while immediately after entering the pelvis. The fetus will also have fetal movements after entering the pelvis, but it will be different from the previous fetal movements, and the position will also be different. Generally, starting from 5 months, mothers can clearly feel the fetal movements. Every baby has different vitality and different methods.

Will fetal movements decrease after the fetus enters the pelvis ?

1. The fetus enters the pelvis when the pregnancy is nearing its end and the baby has matured and is about to leave the mother's body. So will the fetal movement decrease after entering the pelvis? According to relevant gynecologists, fetal movements will gradually decrease after the fetus enters the pelvis. However, if the fetus suffers from hypoxia in the mother's body, fetal movement may also decrease, so the main focus should be on identifying the cause of the decrease in fetal movement.

2. Fetal movement refers to the movement of the fetus in the uterine cavity that impacts the uterine wall. After 4 months of pregnancy, that is, from the 5th month, the mother can clearly feel the movement of the fetus. The fetus stretches its hands, kicks its legs, and hits the uterine wall in the uterus. This is fetal movement. Normal fetal movement indicates that the uterus-placenta is functioning well, that sufficient oxygen is being delivered to the fetus, and that the fetus is growing and developing healthily in the uterus and moving happily. Reduced fetal movement is common in weakened placental function and chronic intrauterine fetal hypoxia, and is an important indicator of fetal distress.

3. How to detect whether fetal movement is normal? This can be done in several ways:

(1) Between 7 and 11 p.m., measure your baby’s fetal movements and see how long it takes for 10 movements to occur. If the number of fetal movements does not reach 10 times within 3 hours, you need to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

(2) Start counting fetal movements after waking up in the morning, and stop counting after reaching 10 times. Expectant mothers can move around as usual, but if you haven’t counted 10 fetal movements by 10 p.m., it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up immediately.

(3) If the expectant mother experiences 10 fetal movements during the day, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., she can rest assured. Otherwise, she should go to the hospital for a check-up as soon as possible. In general, pregnant women should pay enough attention if they suddenly find abnormal fetal movement. Especially after the fetus enters the pelvis, more attention should be paid to the fetal movement.
