My stomach hurts

Causes of abdominal cramps

Abdominal pain refers to the pain from below the ribs to above the groin. Abdominal pain may be caused by gastrointestinal digestive organ diseases such as liver, gallbladder, pancreas, gynecological diseases or problems with the urinary and reproductive organs.

Mild abdominal pain is mostly caused by minor gastrointestinal problems such as indigestion. Persistent, severe abdominal pain without diarrhea may be a serious illness. Abdominal pain and vomiting, the abdominal pain does not subside after vomiting, the abdomen is soft and swollen, or the patient is drowsy and unconscious.

Does abdominal cramping mean pregnancy? Some women think that abdominal cramping due to delayed menstruation is a symptom of pregnancy. In fact, it is inevitable for women to experience abdominal pain, and abdominal pain in women has little to do with pregnancy. Lower abdominal cramps may be caused by other diseases. During this period, you should pay more attention to rest, drink hot water, and avoid eating spicy, raw or cold foods. If the pain worsens, go to the hospital for treatment immediately.
