Endometrial wall thickness

Endometrial wall thickness

If a woman has a thick endometrial wall, it will have a certain impact on her pregnancy function and may also cause menstrual disorders. The thickness of a normal woman's uterine wall is between 0.7 and 0.8. The thickness of the uterine wall may be congenital, or it may be caused by acquired diseases and obesity. So how is the thickness of the uterine wall caused?

Clinically, the first thing to consider when uterine wall thickening is the presence of adenomyosis. Common causes of endometrial thickening include:

1. Pregnancy: Ask the patient about menstruation and conduct urine or blood tests to rule out the possibility of pregnancy;

2. Polyps: can be diagnosed through vaginal B-ultrasound examination;

3. Intrauterine lesions: If women of childbearing age have irregular vaginal bleeding, hysteroscopy should be performed, and perimenopausal women should undergo endometrial biopsy to rule out atypical endometrial hyperplasia or malignant lesions.

Under normal circumstances, the thickness of a woman's endometrium is between 0.7 and 0.8. If it exceeds this value, it can be defined as uterine wall thickness. In life, many women do not know much about the thickness of the uterine wall and think that it is just a normal situation. However, clinically, the thickness of the uterine wall is not a normal phenomenon. In many cases, it is caused by certain diseases.

The causes of thick uterine wall may be normal physiological factors or pathological factors. Therefore, after discovering thick uterine wall, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible and carry out targeted conditioning and treatment.

Causes of Thick Uterine Wall:

1. Female obesity is one of the reasons for thick uterine wall. Obesity usually causes excessive secretion of adrenaline in women, which leads to enhanced conversion ability. This will affect the estrogen in the female body, causing the uterine wall to thicken.

2. If a woman has an endocrine functional tumor in her body, the secretion of estrogen in the body will be enhanced, the uterine wall will be affected and thickened. Once this situation is discovered, treatment should be started as soon as possible to avoid the occurrence of other complications.

3. Endometrial hyperplasia in women can also cause the uterine wall to thicken. If the uterine wall is found to be thickening during the examination, it should be taken seriously as it is not the same as general endometrial hyperplasia. It is necessary to pay attention to it as early as possible and actively carry out early treatment.

Women should eat healthily and have a regular schedule in their daily lives, especially refrain from smoking and drinking, refrain from having sex during menstruation, and develop good hygiene habits.
