Symptoms of endometritis

Symptoms of endometritis

The uterus is a very important organ in women, where the fetus grows and develops. Endometritis is a very common gynecological disease. Many women often suffer from various gynecological diseases because they do not pay attention to their own hygiene. Symptoms of endometritis_conjunctivitis are relatively obvious. Women usually feel abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, or irregular menstruation. Let's learn more about the details.

1. Symptoms of endometritis

1. Abdominal discomfort in the early stages of endometritis

In the early stages, patients with endometrium will experience abdominal pain, but many people tend to ignore it at this time, thinking that it is a symptom of menstruation, so we must be vigilant at this time.

2. Irregular menstruation will occur in the early stages of endometritis

As endometritis continues to develop, the initial inflammation will spread to the myometrium, becoming myometritis, and many small pus masses will form in it. If the inflammation expands outward, it may cause pelvic inflammatory disease. During examination, it will be found that the uterus is tender and enlarged, and the tissues on both sides will be tender and thickened.

3. Vaginal postmenopausal bleeding may occur in the early stages of endometritis

Menopause or irregular bleeding is a classic symptom of endometritis. In fact, this symptom occurs in the early stages. The amount of bleeding is relatively small and not many people pay attention to it, so it becomes more and more serious later.

2. Causes of endometritis

1. Although the endometrium is shed periodically, its basal layer does not shed with it. Once the basal layer is chronically inflamed, it can infect the functional layer of the endometrium for a long time, leading to chronic endometritis.

2. Long-term salpingo-oophoritis or severe cervicitis can lead to chronic endometritis.

3. Contraceptive rings can cause chronic endometritis.

4. Uterine submucosal fibroids and mucosal polyps can also lead to chronic endometritis.

5. A small amount of placenta remains after delivery or abortion, or poor healing of the placental attachment surface, is often the cause of chronic endometritis.

6. Chronic endometritis may also occur without obvious causes, and the pathogens mostly come from the vagina and cervix.

The amount is very large and exceeds the previous menstrual amount, and continuous bleeding occurs, sometimes even causing anemia. Women who have not reached menopause may experience bleeding between periods, prolonged menstruation, increased menstrual flow, or completely irregular bleeding. This may be a sign of the late stage of the disease.
