Blood is extremely important to the human body. Blood can transport oxygen and various nutrients to various organs in the body to maintain the normal functioning of those organs. Blood can be divided into different types, such as O type, A type, B type or AB type, etc. There is a saying that O type blood is not good for women because women with O type blood are not easy to get pregnant. Is this true? Let me introduce it below. A medical study in the United States found that among 560 pregnant women, type A women had the highest chance of getting pregnant, while type O pregnant women were the least likely to get pregnant. In response to this phenomenon, Chinese scientists have also conducted similar investigations and found that the chances of successful conception for O-type pregnant women are also relatively low. Of course, due to the different physical conditions of different women and many other factors such as male sperm motility, no one can give a clear and definite answer. However, through comparative analysis of blood types, it was found that women with type O blood secrete more "follicle stimulating hormone", which inhibits ovarian ovulation, thereby reducing the chance of conception. What should pregnant women with blood type O pay attention to during pregnancy Clinically, 99% of ABO blood incompatibility occurs in pregnant women with type O blood. If the pregnant woman's blood type is O and her husband's blood type is A, B or AB, there is a possibility of AB0 blood incompatibility between mother and child, leading to neonatal hemolytic disease. Pregnant women can be tested for serum antibodies, with the first test at 16 weeks of pregnancy, the second at 28 to 30 weeks of pregnancy, and then every 2 to 4 weeks thereafter. More than half of pregnant women develop antibodies after 28 weeks of pregnancy. The closer the pregnancy is to full term, the more antibodies are produced and the greater the threat to the fetus. Therefore, induced labor can be performed around 36 weeks of pregnancy. There are many dangers for pregnant women with O-type blood. Although there is no clear statement, the chance of pregnancy for women with O-type blood will be lower than that of pregnant women with other blood types, because the secretion of a certain hormone will be more than that of pregnant women with other blood types, which will affect the chance of conception. Moreover, the child will have a high chance of developing hemolytic disease, and severe cases may even lead to miscarriage. |
