Especially the reproductive system of pregnant women, although all their energy is focused on maintaining the growth of the fetus, once a problem occurs, it will cause great health damage to the pregnant woman. Let's take a look at why pregnant women bleed?

Why is there blood during pregnancy?

The early stages of pregnancy are a relatively dangerous period, as pregnant women not only have to endure morning sickness, but also have to worry about the baby's death all the time. Bleeding is an alarm during pregnancy, and many pregnant women will become particularly worried when they find themselves bleeding.

1. The amount of bleeding during pregnancy can vary depending on the cause. Some pregnant women may even bleed hundreds of milliliters. Generally, the more bleeding there is, the more serious the condition. Bleeding at different stages of pregnancy means different things, and your doctor will handle it differently.

2. If bleeding occurs in the early stages of pregnancy, it is most likely caused by miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Bleeding during mid-pregnancy is most likely caused by an incompetent cervix. In addition, if a hydatidiform mole occurs, it can also cause bleeding in women during the second trimester. Bleeding in late pregnancy is usually caused by placenta previa or placental abruption.

3. Usually when the fertilized egg implants, it will cause punctate implantation bleeding, which is a normal phenomenon.

There are many reasons that can cause bleeding in pregnant women, but this is not a good phenomenon. It usually indicates that there is a problem with the pregnant woman or the fetus. You should go to the hospital immediately to find out the cause and take corresponding measures.

If the hydatidiform mole is not discovered in the early stages, symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, anemia, and uterine enlargement will usually begin in the middle of pregnancy. More serious cases may cause severe vomiting during pregnancy, pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome (proteinuria, hypertension, edema), etc. Most patients with hydatidiform mole have intermittent small amounts of bleeding, but there may be repeated heavy bleeding in the meantime, and sometimes blisters may be found in the blood.
