Purulent vaginal discharge

Purulent vaginal discharge

Under normal circumstances, there will be no purulent secretions in the vagina. If it occurs, it means that some diseases have occurred. This gynecological disease will seriously affect one's health, especially for middle-aged and elderly women. The chance of occurrence of this disease will become higher. After it occurs, you must appropriately enhance the resistance of your vagina. You can take some therapeutic drugs orally.

The treatment principle for elderly patients is to enhance vaginal resistance and inhibit bacterial growth. You can take 0.125-0.5 mg of acetaminophen orally or insert 0.5 mg of acetaminophen into the vagina once a night, with 7-10 days as a course of treatment. For those with obvious local inflammation, antibiotics can be added at the same time, such as metronidazole or one furoic acid tablet (containing 50 mg of furacilin and 0.25 mg of ethoprop) placed in the vagina once a night, 7 to 10 grams per day as a course of treatment.

Young girls can rinse the vulva with potassium permanganate solution 2 to 3 times a day, take 0.05 to 0.1 mg of ethidium bromide orally every day for 5 to 7 days, and at the same time, drip corresponding antibiotics into the vagina. If there is a foreign object in the vagina, it should be removed.

(1) Change your underwear frequently and wear loose underwear. Do not wear underwear made of nylon or other non-cotton materials.

(2) The patient’s underwear, used bathtubs, towels, etc. should be boiled in hot water for disinfection.

(3) It is advisable to flush the vagina once a week to avoid bacterial imbalance and bacterial infection.

1. Avoid spicy food: Spicy food includes peppers, ginger, onions, garlic, etc. Eating too much can easily cause dryness and heat, which can cause heat and toxins to accumulate in the internal organs, resulting in symptoms such as swollen and painful gums, sores in the mouth and tongue, short and red urine, burning sensation in the anus, itching and pain in the front and back of the vulva, thus aggravating the symptoms of this disease.

2. Avoid seafood: Fishy foods, such as shrimp, mandarin fish, black fish, hairtail, yellow croaker, crab and other aquatic products can promote damp heat, which can aggravate vulvar itching after eating and is not conducive to the disappearance of inflammation, so they should be avoided.

3. Avoid sweet and greasy food: greasy food such as lard, fatty pork, butter, mutton fat, cream, etc.; high-sugar food such as candy, desserts, chocolate, cream cake, etc. These foods help to increase moisture and heat, which will increase the secretion of leucorrhea and affect the treatment effect.

4. Avoid smoking and drinking: Smoking will aggravate the disease because the nicotine in tobacco can weaken the binding force between arterial blood and oxygen, and alcohol can promote dampness and heat, so it should be avoided. Similarly, foods containing alcohol, such as fermented rice wine, medicinal wine, etc., should not be consumed.
