What to drink when you have period pain

Many female friends experience abdominal pain during their menstrual period, which is generally called dysmenorrhea. For friends who suffer from dysmenorrhea, you can actually drink some Sichuan safflower water to relieve the symptoms. If conditions permit, you can also drink some ginger, brown sugar and jujube water, which will have a better effect.

What to drink when you have menstrual pain

1. Women who suffer from menstrual pain can eat more foods rich in vitamins B1 and B2, such as brown rice, germ rice, liver, almonds, dairy products, etc., or take synergistic vitamin F as a supplement of B1 and B2.

2. For those who usually have pelvic congestion and pain in the uterus and ovaries during menstruation, it is recommended to consume more foods rich in vitamins C and E, such as yellow and green vegetables, oranges, lemons, walnuts, almonds, wheat germ, etc. to improve pelvic blood circulation and relieve the pain of pelvic congestion.

3. People who experience abdominal pain during menstruation should pay special attention to their diet and nutrition, eat less raw, cold and greasy food, and regulate their stomach and intestines with vitamin B group, yogurt, and table flour. People who suffer from dysmenorrhea due to anemia often experience dizziness, tinnitus, and persistent abdominal pain during menstruation. They can supplement with iron, dark green vegetables, or occasionally drink some brandy, and the dysmenorrhea can gradually improve.

4. When dysmenorrhea is accompanied by cold limbs, pale face and lips, you can boil equal amounts of ginger (or dried ginger), jujube, and brown sugar into a warm soup and drink it. If the dysmenorrhea is severe and the patient obviously refuses to receive massage, you can take three grams of Sichuan safflower, brew it with three hundred cc of hot water and drink it as tea, once or twice a day. This can eliminate the discomfort caused by blood stasis.

5. For those who suffer from dysmenorrhea and feel cold in the abdomen or like hot compresses, you can stew half a pound of mutton, five cents each of angelica and ginger, and cinnamon as appropriate. For those who suffer from dysmenorrhea accompanied by light blood, dizziness, and soreness of the waist and knees, you can stew two cents of angelica, one ounce of astragalus, a quarter of a chicken or four ounces of ribs, and half a milkfish.

6. If menstrual pain is accompanied by a feeling of heaviness and sinking in the lower abdomen, you can stew a quarter of a chicken with Shengyu Soup (2 qian of Korean ginseng, 4 qian of Astragalus, 3 qian of Chinese angelica, 1.5 qian of Chuanxiong, 3 qian of Rehmannia root, and 3 qian of White Peony Root), which is very delicious.
