How to do gynecological physiotherapy

Gynecological diseases have gradually shifted from surgical and drug treatments to physical therapy. Physical therapy is a painful method that does not require medication or injections and can be easily and simply performed. The scope of physical therapy includes many types, and the advantages of physical therapy are that it is painless, does not cause any damage, and most importantly, it is simple and safe. Patients undergoing physical therapy must master certain knowledge and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment.

Types of Physical Therapy

The range of physical factors is extremely wide, including sound, light, electricity, magnetism, heat and various mechanical stimuli. The application of a certain physical factor for treatment is called physical factor therapy. Such as natural physical factors such as solar therapy, atmospheric therapy, sea bath therapy, mineral spring therapy, mud therapy, paraffin therapy, etc. Artificial physical factors include electrotherapy, magnetic therapy, phototherapy, etc.

Physical therapy effect

In non-surgical gynecological treatments, physical therapy occupies a very important position. It can be used alone or in combination with medication or surgical therapy. Physical therapy has become an indispensable treatment method for certain gynecological diseases.

Advantages of physical therapy

Its advantages are that it has a wide range of effects, is non-destructive, painless, and relatively safe, and it has varying degrees of therapeutic effects on many diseases and injuries. Nevertheless, patients undergoing physical therapy should still master certain knowledge and actively cooperate with doctors to improve efficacy, shorten treatment courses and ensure safety.

Physical therapy

In gynecological diseases, the commonly used physical therapy methods are as follows:

Direct current therapy

The voltage used is 500V. The method of using 100V direct current to treat diseases on the human body is called direct current therapy. Direct current has a significant effect in promoting local blood circulation and can increase local blood flow. Direct current stimulates the receptors on the sensory nerve endings and blood vessel walls, reflexively causing the peripheral blood vessels to dilate, improving blood supply and nutrition to tissues, accelerating the elimination of metabolic products, and enhancing the tissue regeneration process.

Facilitation therapy

Direct current is used to introduce drug ions into the body through the skin or mucous membranes to achieve the purpose of treating diseases. This method is called direct current drug ion introduction therapy. The advantages of direct current drug ion introduction therapy are: the drug is directly introduced into the treatment area and maintained at a high concentration locally, without damaging the skin, causing pain, or irritating the gastrointestinal tract, and it has the dual effects of direct current and drug. However, the polarity of the drug selected for introduction must be clear. For example, when introducing streptomycin to treat tuberculous peritonitis, it must be introduced from the "*" pole.
