Is it normal for women to drink more water and urinate less?

It is very serious if female friends have less urine after drinking too much water. This means that the detoxification system in their kidneys is greatly affected. If it is not treated in time, the body will not be able to detoxify normally, and eventually all toxins will accumulate in the kidneys, which will cause some kidney diseases, such as common diseases such as nephritis.

It is divided into prerenal, renal and postrenal. Prerenal: Shock, heart failure, dehydration, and other conditions that cause a decrease in effective blood volume can lead to insufficient glomerular filtration and anuria. Renal: caused by various changes in renal parenchyma. Post-renal: caused by urinary tract obstruction or urination dysfunction due to stones, urinary tract stenosis, or tumor compression. [1]

Prerenal oliguria is generally caused by insufficient perfusion. It can be distinguished from renal oliguria in that in prerenal oliguria, the renal tubules maintain their intact function of concentrating and reabsorb- ing sodium. Therefore, oliguria is combined with hyponatremia, urine sodium <20mmol/L, and hyperosmotic urine >500mOsm/L, while renal tubular necrosis, renal tubular concentration and reabsorption function decreased, so oliguria is accompanied by high urine sodium >40mmol/L and hypoosmotic urine, but this is not absolute clinically, and many prerenal manifestations are concentrated hypernatremia.

In addition, it can be differentiated through fluid replacement and diuresis. For patients with prerenal disease, urine volume and renal function will improve after fluid replacement, and urine volume will increase after diuresis; while for patients with renal disease, the condition will not be relieved by fluid replacement and the diuretic effect is not strong. The results of post-renal urine routine examination showed red blood cells and protein, and color Doppler ultrasound of the urinary system indicated the presence of space-occupying lesions. [3]

1. Keep warm in winter. Surveys have found that the number of new patients with worsening kidney function and dialysis in winter is far higher than in other seasons. This is mainly because blood vessels contract and blood pressure rises in low temperatures. Decreased urine output. The blood's ability to coagulate becomes stronger. It can easily cause kidney problems.

2. Do not take medicine indiscriminately. Many commercially available painkillers, cold medicines and Chinese herbal medicines are toxic to the kidneys. Do not take them without a doctor's prescription. You should also be aware of the side effects of antibiotics and painkillers prescribed by your doctor.

3. Don’t overeat and eat too much protein and salt. It will increase the burden on the kidneys. In addition, sports drinks contain extra electrolytes and salt, so people with kidney disease need to be careful with these drinks.

4. Treat colds if the cold comes back or after a cold. There is high blood pressure, edema, and bubbles in the urine. It is best to see a nephrologist for screening.

4. Drink a moderate amount of water and do not hold urine. Urine retained in the bladder is like bacteria that easily multiply in a blocked sewer. The bacteria will infect the kidneys through the ureters.
