Can I sleep on my side after the transplant?

For many infertile couples, artificial insemination is a good method. However, when performing embryo transplantation, many issues need to be paid attention to because the mother will be affected. So, can I sleep on my side after the transplant? Actually, it is possible. Generally speaking, as long as the transplant is successful, sleeping posture will not have any effect on the embryo, so don't feel burdened.

1. It is not recommended to stay in bed after embryo transfer. Some people are afraid that the embryo will fall into the fallopian tube on one side if they sleep on their side. Some are even afraid that they will turn over in their sleep at night, so they stare at the ceiling and dare not close their eyes, while others put something on their body to prevent them from turning over. I woke up exhausted after a good night's sleep.

2. Long-term bed rest can cause constipation. After using progesterone, the peristaltic function of the intestine is reduced. In addition, patients are unwilling to urinate more often for fear that the embryo will fall out when going to the toilet. Psychological factors can also cause constipation.

3. Don't pay special attention to if there is anything flowing out of your underwear. If you pay too much attention, you will find that there is more liquid in your underwear. In fact, there are always vaginal secretions, especially when estrogen levels are elevated, the secretions will increase compared to the natural cycle. No matter how careful you are, you can't find the shadow of the embryo in your underwear.

4. Long-term bed rest can easily lead to venous thrombosis. Blood flow is slow after bed rest, which is particularly dangerous for elderly patients, patients in a hypercoagulable state, and obese patients, increasing the risk of thrombotic diseases.

5. Don’t always think about doing a transvaginal ultrasound. The two white bright spots pointed out during the transplant are two small air columns that mark the location where the embryo is placed. Between these two air columns is a drop of liquid that nourishes the embryo baby. Seeing the white bright spots can help you know the location of the embryo more accurately. After the embryo is placed in, the air column will be quickly absorbed and disappear.
