The risk of breast papilloma becoming malignant

The risk of breast papilloma becoming malignant

Breast papilloma is a very dangerous disease. If you are not careful, it can lead to malignant transformation, and the chance of occurrence is relatively high. Therefore, if you discover this disease during your gynecological examination, you cannot delay treatment. You must take formal treatment immediately, so that you can improve your symptoms to a certain extent.

Breast tumors are related to reproductive or endocrine factors. The risk of developing breast tumors in the following groups of people is 1.3-3 times that of the normal population.

1. Those whose menarche age is younger than 12 years old or whose menopause age is older than 55 years old.

2. The first child was born at an age greater than 35, or the woman has not given birth or breastfed after giving birth.

3. Short menstrual cycle. This shows that estrogen has a long duration of action.

5. High estrogen levels after menopause or estrogen replacement therapy. We believe that when discomforts such as hot flashes occur after menopause, it is still necessary to supplement estrogen appropriately, but the duration of use should not be too long, and the dosage should be gradually reduced after the menopausal symptoms disappear.

The occurrence of breast tumors is related to diet, radiation, medical treatment and lifestyle. Vegetables, fruits, yam, mushrooms, soy products, carrots, green tea, etc. can reduce the risk of disease. Coffee, cholesterol, unsaturated fatty acids, black tea, vitamin E, etc. have nothing to do with the occurrence of breast tumors. If women drink alcohol regularly or increase their total fat intake, especially if postmenopausal women are obese, the incidence of breast tumors may increase.

For normal people, taking X-rays or molybdenum-palladium scans once a year after the age of 40 will not have any effect on the breast. However, if X-rays are taken frequently when you are young, especially during adolescence, it will have a certain effect on the breast.

Viral factors

Virus particles can be transmitted through breastfeeding, causing the disease. This has been confirmed by many animal experiments. Therefore, some scholars speculate that the cause of breast tumors may be viruses, but there is currently insufficient epidemiological evidence and further research is needed.

Endocrine factors

Endocrine disorders may also cause breast tumors. Due to the long-term abnormal stimulation of endocrine hormones on the breast, breast tissue may become tumorous. Among them, estrogen and progesterone are the two endocrine hormones most closely related to breast malignancy. This has been confirmed by many clinicians, pathologists and physiologists.

Genetic susceptibility

Clinical data from family history surveys show that genetic factors are also one of the important causes of this disease. Especially for patients with bilateral breast tumors and those who develop the disease at a young age, the risk of these women developing the disease is 9 times that of ordinary women. This may be related to genetic factors, which make them susceptible to breast tumors and have internal causes of the disease.

Other factors

The body's anti-tumor immune function is low, which suppresses the immune function of anti-tumor factors; and traumatic stimulation of the breast and radiation damage are all factors that predispose to breast tumors. [3]
