Treating female infertility

Treating female infertility

Basically every woman has a certain degree of desire to be a mother, because after becoming a mother, women will obviously find that their personality has changed a lot because of the child. If a woman finds out that she is infertile while preparing for pregnancy, it will undoubtedly be a huge blow to her body and mind. However, with the development of modern clinical medical technology, treating female infertility has become a possibility. So what are some ways to treat female infertility?

Treatments for female infertility

Surgery

Surgical treatment of infertility is currently only for those patients with more serious infertility due to gynecological diseases. For some patients with milder infertility, we do not recommend the use of surgery as a treatment method. Because surgical treatment is a method of treatment that is somewhat risky, it requires a relatively high level of physical fitness from the patient. This method of treating infertility is used for some patients with cervical infertility who have failed to be cured and still want to have children. Surgical treatment is mainly suitable for female patients with enlarged cervix, wide erosion area, deep lesions, or involvement of the cervical canal. The surgical resection range should be 1 to 2 mm outside the eroded surface, and the depth can be about 2 cm. The eroded part of the cervix is made into a cone-shaped tissue with the tip pointing to the cervical canal for resection. If the wound can be sutured immediately, the scar will be smaller after healing and the chance of postoperative bleeding will be less.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy is also a good option. This method is also a relatively effective treatment method. There are three main methods: electrocautery, laser, and freezing. When choosing an infertility treatment method, you should consider the patient's specific situation. If you want to have children, it is best to use cryotherapy. Electrocautery or laser treatment should not be used to avoid causing cervical scar atrophy and cervical stenosis, which will affect future conception and normal delivery.

Dialectical treatment

Huoxue Huayu Decoction for the treatment of infertility: 10g of Bupleurum, 15g each of White Peony Root, Leonurus japonicus, Millettia reticulata, Angelica sinensis, and Salvia miltiorrhiza, 12g each of Red Peony Root, Zedoariae rhizome, Rhizoma Cyathulae, Achyranthes bidentata, and Sappan Wood. Start taking the medicine once a day at the onset of each menstrual period, and take 4 doses in a row. Take 1 dose daily from the 12th to the 15th day after the onset of menstruation, and then take 4 doses in a row. Decoction in water to obtain the juice, and take it warm on an empty stomach twice a day, morning and evening. One course of treatment is 3 months. For those who have missed their periods or have irregular periods, when the menstrual cycle is 30 days old, 10-20 mg of progesterone should be injected intramuscularly every day for 3 consecutive days. Wait until menstruation comes and then use Chinese medicine to treat infertility using the same method as above.

Causes of Female Infertility

Cervical infertility: Cervical diseases, such as cervical erosion, cervicitis, cervical polyps, etc., will hinder or even kill sperm, resulting in sperm unable to enter the uterus normally, and ultimately leading to cervical infertility. Female friends should seek timely treatment for cervical diseases.

Uterine infertility: Women’s uterus is prone to problems, such as endometritis, uterine fibroids, etc. These uterine diseases may lead to uterine infertility. If a female friend develops a uterine disease, she should never delay treatment.

Tubal infertility: What are the common types of infertility in clinical practice? Infertility is one of the common gynecological diseases, which seriously troubles women who want to have children. The fallopian tube has the important role of transporting sperm, taking in eggs and transporting fertilized eggs to the uterine cavity. The infertility of women due to abnormalities in the fallopian tube is called tubal infertility.

Ovarian infertility: Ovulatory disorders are caused by ovarian lesions. In addition to ovarian lesions, other factors that cause ovulatory disorders include dysfunction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis, and infertility caused by abnormal adrenal and thyroid function.

The dangers of female infertility

1. Infection, injury, miscarriage, etc. that cause women's fallopian tubes to be blocked or partially blocked are all factors that lead to blockage. Due to the diversification of pathogenic factors, treatment is becoming increasingly difficult, especially the diversification of pathogens. The rate of non-inflammatory lesions is gradually increasing, and long-term irregular medication leads to dysbiosis. Or prolonged treatment can easily cause fallopian tube blockage, which is a difficult problem in the treatment of infertility.

2. The fallopian tube has extremely complex and delicate physiological functions, and plays an important role in egg collection, sperm capacitation, egg fertilization, fertilized egg transportation, and the survival and development of early embryos. However, fallopian tube blockage is mainly caused by inflammation. Long-term inflammatory stimulation causes the fallopian tube to thicken, harden, and cause adhesion and narrowing of the lumen, or even adhesion to surrounding tissues, thereby affecting the fallopian tube's egg-picking function and the ability to transport sperm and eggs, leading to infertility or ectopic pregnancy. If not treated in time, the consequences are very serious.

3. Infertility is often an early manifestation of uterine fibroids, premature ovarian failure, ovarian cysts, or some cervical erosion, fallopian tube obstruction, endocrine disorders, and endometriosis. Therefore, if these diseases are not treated in time, they will not only worsen, but also easily turn from single to multiple.
