First of all, prevent and care for your skin from the details of life.

1. In order to prevent dry skin, new mothers can apply moisturizing cream all over the body after taking a bath. There are many kinds of moisturizers on the market. New mothers can choose a suitable moisturizer according to their skin type.

2. Don’t use too hot water when taking a bath, especially in winter. Don’t increase the temperature of the hot water just because it’s too cold, thinking that you’ll feel warm only when you sweat. In fact, in winter, the best bath water should be at a temperature similar to human body temperature, preferably around 37 to 40 degrees. Because if the water is too hot, it will destroy the oil on the surface of the skin, causing the skin to lose moisture. Not only does it fail to keep the skin moisturized, it also makes the skin drier.

3. It is very important for new mothers to choose underwear during the confinement period. They must choose pure cotton fabrics and avoid wearing underwear made of chemical fiber or other fabrics.

4. In order to effectively prevent dry skin after childbirth, it is recommended that new mothers use a moisturizing mask 1-2 times a week. This can replenish the skin with a large amount of moisture, prevent the skin from being dry, and have a certain degree of moisturizing effect.

5. If the new mother stays in an air-conditioned room for a long time, it is best to carry a bottle of hydrating spray with her, and always prepare a basin of water in the room or use a humidifier, so that the skin can become more hydrated.

6. To maintain your skin, you can use a facial mask once or twice a week and stick to it.

7. Don’t use too hot water when washing your face, especially in winter. A slightly warm water will be enough, otherwise it will aggravate the dryness of the skin. Also, when using facial cleansers, choose those with low irritation and pure natural plant-based moisturizing cleansers, and avoid using abrasive facial cleansers.

8. Drink more water and get enough sleep to make your skin more moisturized and healthy.

9. The skin is very sensitive during pregnancy. If you use skin care products with too strong alkaline properties, it will irritate the skin, accelerate the loss of skin moisture, and increase skin sensitivity. Therefore, you should use mild and non-irritating cleansers (facial cleanser or soap) every time you wash your face. At the same time, due to dry skin, the frequency of face washing should be relatively reduced, twice a day is enough. Too many times will easily take away the oil and moisture that the skin originally needs, and aggravate the dryness of the skin.
