Back pain after ovulation

Back pain after ovulation

Normally, there are no symptoms during the ovulation period, but a few people will experience back pain after this special period due to their physical constitution. In this case, it depends on whether there is pelvic inflammation or adnexitis. It is also possible that the lower back pain may be caused by the influence of hormones before ovulation. You should regularly observe whether your menstrual discharge is healthy and whether your ovulation period is normal.

What is the cause of back pain during ovulation?

During ovulation, you may feel cramps or menstrual-like pain in your lower abdomen as the egg is released from the ovary.

What are the symptoms of ovulation?

1. Changes in basal body temperature: During a menstrual cycle, the basal body temperature of normal women of childbearing age is lower before ovulation and rises after ovulation. Generally, the temperature difference between the two can reach about 0.5℃, showing a typical biphasic body temperature curve. This body temperature curve indicates that the ovaries have ovulation function, and the junction of the high and low body temperature curves is the ovulation date of the ovaries.

2. Cervix and cervical mucus: During the ovulation cycle, the cervix is affected by estrogen and progesterone, causing changes in secretion and opening and closing. As the follicles develop, the secretion of estrogen increases, the cervix relaxes and opens, the amount of mucus increases, the viscosity is minimal, it is clear and transparent like egg white, and the tension (stringiness) gradually increases; after ovulation, under the influence of progesterone, the amount of mucus secretion rapidly decreases and thickens, and the cervix closes.

3. Ovulation pain: This is a symptom of ovulation. About 1/3 of women experience ovulation pain. The pain occurs in the lower abdomen on the side of ovulation. It is severe pain or continuous dull pain and lasts for 6-12 hours. During ovulation, due to the increase of prostaglandins in the body, the pressure in the follicular fluid cavity increases, and the surface of the ovary will rupture to release the egg. This rupture process can cause lower abdominal pain in some sensitive women.

4. Ovulation bleeding: It is a symptom after ovulation, usually lasting for 2-3 days. The amount of bleeding is not much, and sometimes it only manifests as slightly red leucorrhea. Ovulation bleeding may be caused by the fact that after the mature follicle ruptures and ovulates, the estrogen level drops sharply, unable to maintain normal endometrial growth, causing local shedding of the surface layer of the endometrium, resulting in breakthrough bleeding. Bleeding may be accompanied by pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen, which generally does not require treatment.

Precautions during ovulation

During the ovulation period, women will feel energetic. Of course, this is also a natural instinct inherited from humans. Fundamentally speaking, this is to successfully attract the opposite sex. Therefore, women in the ovulation period will take better care of themselves and be in high spirits.

You may feel a loss of appetite during the ovulation period. Scientific research shows that women's food intake during this period is the lowest in a menstrual cycle. It is said that this is the result of the retention of human natural instincts. That is to say, during this period, female animals will focus more on finding the opposite sex for mating, rather than looking for food. However, for your health, you should still pay attention to normal nutritional intake and avoid excessive restraint.

You may feel a surge in sexual desire. Generally speaking, women during this period will have a particularly strong sexual desire. This is the egg's secret message to you, telling you that your body really wants to get pregnant. In addition, during this period, women's resistance will decrease because the vaginal mucus will become thinner, which is also to make it easier for sperm to pass through numerous obstacles and combine with the egg, increasing the chance of successful conception.

At the same time, women's nasal mucus will also decrease, which will increase the chance of bacteria invading the human circulatory system. Therefore, you must pay attention to protecting your respiratory system to prevent bacteria and pathogens from entering the body and causing illness.

Women's ovulation period can be calculated. When you find yourself in your ovulation period, you should pay more attention to taking care of your body and mind and be sure to maintain a good mood.
