What to do if pregnant women have abdominal pain

What to do if pregnant women have abdominal pain

Everyone knows that during pregnancy, as the baby grows, a woman's body will undergo a series of changes. Most of these changes are more painful than happy. For example, as the baby grows older, it will press on some of the woman's nerves, causing pelvic pain. In addition, when you are pregnant, not only will your breasts grow bigger, but your vagina will also undergo some changes. Today, I want to share with you what to do if you have abdominal pain during pregnancy.

1. Physiological stomach pain

As the baby grows, the expectant mother's uterus also gradually expands. The enlarged uterus constantly stimulates the lower edge of the ribs, which can cause dull rib pain in expectant mothers. Generally speaking, this is physiological and does not require special treatment. Lying on the left side can help relieve pain.

2. Pathological stomach pain

Placental abruption: It often occurs in the late pregnancy. The expectant mother may have pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, chronic hypertension, or abdominal trauma. Tearing pain in the lower abdomen is a typical symptom, often accompanied by vaginal bleeding. If an expectant mother suddenly feels persistent severe pain in the lower abdomen, it may be premature birth or a sign of uterine rupture. You should go to the hospital for treatment in time and do not delay.

Dietary considerations during late pregnancy

In the late pregnancy, you can eat more foods rich in collagen, such as pig's trotters, which will help increase skin elasticity. Eating more foods such as crucian carp, carp, radish and winter melon will help relieve edema symptoms. Eat more foods rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as walnuts, sesame seeds and peanuts, as well as chicken, fish and other foods that are easy to digest and absorb and rich in protein. Choose more foods rich in vitamins and minerals such as celery and lettuce. You can also regularly eat some iodine-rich foods, such as kelp and squid.

In general, abdominal pain in the late pregnancy may be physiological or pathological. If the pain lasts for a long time and is quite painful, then you should pay attention. In addition, you also need to pay attention to your diet in the late pregnancy to prepare for delivery.
