Pain near right pelvis

Pain near right pelvis

When women are about ten weeks pregnant, they secrete a substance called relaxin. This relaxin is good for pregnant women because it can relax the local area and achieve a soothing effect. However, it is very bad for many people who are born with weak constitutions. First of all, after giving birth, many parts of the body will hurt and relax due to the interference of relaxin.

When a woman is about 10 weeks pregnant, her ovaries secrete a substance called "relaxin", which makes the fibrous cartilage and ligaments of the sacroiliac joint and pubic symphysis become loose and soft, and the sacroiliac joint and pubic symphysis become wider and more mobile. By the late stages of pregnancy, the pubic symphysis widens by an average of 0.3-0.4 cm, and the sacrococcygeal joint moves posteriorly by up to 2 cm, to facilitate the fetus's passage through the bony birth canal during delivery.

However, if the ligaments are too relaxed, the pubic symphysis will separate, the sacrum will not be able to fix the left and right ilium, and the pelvis will lack stability. When pregnant women walk, sit, go up and down stairs, or turn over, the bones of the pelvis will move separately, pulling on the fibrous cartilage and ligaments between the pubic bones, causing pain in the pubic and sacroiliac joints. In severe cases, the pain will radiate to the groin or perineum, and even make it difficult for pregnant women to move. In fact, this has nothing to do with calcium deficiency during pregnancy.

If women experience pelvic pain during pregnancy, they should not be nervous. They should rest in bed appropriately and avoid standing, walking, or sitting for long periods of time. They should reduce going up and down stairs and walking on slopes. They should do some thigh flexion and extension exercises on a regular basis. They should also perform moderate massage on the pubic symphysis to relax the pubic symphysis ligament.

You can also use a wide cloth ring to bandage the pelvis, or wear health pants of the right size to relatively stabilize the pelvis, reduce bone friction and ligament pulling, and relieve pain symptoms. In addition, nutrition during pregnancy should be moderate and balanced to avoid fetal obesity and excessive fetal head due to overnutrition, which may aggravate pubic separation during delivery. At the same time, constipation should be prevented to avoid increasing abdominal pressure.

Pay special attention not to take painkillers or apply pain-relieving plasters casually. If you really need to take painkillers, you must take them under the guidance of a doctor. If the symptoms are severe, you can be hospitalized and wait for delivery. Pelvic pain usually gradually decreases and disappears 24 hours after delivery. In a few women, the pelvic pain symptoms disappear after a few months.

When does pelvic pain get worse during pregnancy?

The pain usually gets worse when you lie down, turn over, walk, and get up from a seat. The pain is often worse at night, and the more active you are during the day, the more frequent and pronounced the pain will be at night. The act of spreading your legs apart can be very painful, especially if you are sitting or lying down in a relaxed position.

Will pelvic pain in pregnant women affect delivery?

As long as you follow the right advice, general pelvic pain rarely affects your childbirth. If possible, try not to give birth lying on your back. Giving birth while standing or kneeling can protect your pelvic joints and is generally more comfortable. If you choose to give birth while sitting, sit up as straight as possible so that your legs can be spread apart easily.
