Many pregnant women have experienced unbearable back pain in the late pregnancy. What should they do to relieve this symptom?

As the pregnancy progresses, pregnant mothers will gradually feel back pain, and their bodies will feel more tired and heavy.

If it is upper back pain, it may be caused by existing problems with the pregnant mother's muscles, spine, cervical spine, etc. If it is lower back pain, it is directly related to pregnancy.

The main reason for back pain during pregnancy is that the pregnant mother's belly needs to stretch to accommodate the enlarged uterus, and the abdominal muscles stretch much more than before pregnancy, thereby compressing the back. In addition, in order to maintain balance, the pregnant mother's upper body will unconsciously lean back, which increases the burden on the lower back to the waist and causes back pain.

How to relieve?

1. Ask the expectant father or family members to help with massage.

The pregnant mother lies on her side, and the massager gently uses the balls of her thumbs to massage the muscles on both sides of the spine, especially the lower back. Of course, the effect will be better if you let a professional pregnant woman massage you.

2. Apply a soft hot towel to the affected area.

The water temperature for soaking the towel should not be too high, and should be kept at around 30-40 degrees.

3. Use a belly support belt.

A belly support belt can help take the load off your back.

4. Pay attention to maintaining a correct sitting posture and try to avoid hunching over. You can also buy some comfortable cushions and place them behind your back when you sit.

5. Tips for sleeping

When sleeping on your side, you can use a small pillow to sandwich between your calves, which will make the pregnant mother feel comfortable.
