How long will it take to give birth if you have redness and backache?

What we call seeing blood means that the pregnant woman is about to give birth. It is vaginal bleeding caused by uterine contractions, which is also very normal. At the same time, there may also be lower back pain. But, how long will it take to get pregnant after having spotting and back pain? This situation also depends on the individual's physical condition. Some people give birth in just a few hours, while others may take a day. It is more common to give birth within twelve to forty-eight hours.

Generally, pregnant women will experience spotting within 24 hours before labor pains, but some will experience spotting repeatedly in the first few days or even a week before delivery. If spotting is accompanied by regular uterine contractions, then delivery is not far away, usually within twelve to forty-eight hours.

1. After a pregnant woman sees blood, she will usually start having labor pains within 24 hours and enter the delivery stage. But there are also many people who give birth a few days or even a week after having spotting. There are great individual differences. Showing blood is only a signal before delivery, but it does not mean that the labor is about to begin. It is caused by the contraction of the uterus, the gradual expansion of the cervical canal, and the mixing of mucus in the cervix and a small amount of bleeding from the cervical canal wall. When you give birth depends mainly on the frequency of your pain and the speed at which your cervix opens.

2. The real sign of impending delivery is regular uterine contractions. If the mother feels obvious contractions, with one coming every 10 minutes or so, and the frequency of contractions is very regular and the intervals between them are gradually shortening and the intensity is gradually increasing, and the cervix is gradually dilating, she should be admitted to the hospital immediately to prepare for delivery, as this means the baby will be born soon. If there are no uterine contractions but there is vaginal discharge, there is a possibility of ruptured membranes and you need to go to the hospital immediately.

3. What to do after spotting? After a pregnant woman spots blood, if it is just a light streak of blood, the amount is not much, and there is no labor pain, the pregnant woman can stay at home for observation and pay attention to rest. Or you can go to the hospital for examination accompanied by your family. The doctor will evaluate the opening of the cervix and then suggest that the mother go home to rest or go directly to the hospital to wait for delivery. If you experience contractions and water breaking after spotting, you should go to the hospital immediately.

4. If a pregnant woman has spotting, fresh blood, and the amount of bleeding exceeds that of menstruation, or is accompanied by abdominal pain, she should be admitted to the hospital immediately. This situation is often not a simple sign of delivery, but may involve other abnormal conditions, such as placenta previa, placental abruption and other hemorrhagic diseases in late pregnancy.
