1. Apply hot compress. Hot compress can make the milk lumps blocked in the breast glands become unblocked. When applying hot compress, be careful to avoid the areola and nipple areas because the skin in these two areas is more tender. The temperature of the hot compress should not be too hot to avoid scalding the skin.

2. Massage. After hot compress, you can massage. There are many ways to massage. Generally, hold one breast with both hands and massage alternately from the bottom of the breast to the nipple, and then squeeze the milk into a container.

3. Use a breast pump. When your breasts are swollen and painful, you can use a manual or electric breast pump to assist in expressing milk, which is very effective.

4. Apply cold compress. If the pain from breast engorgement is very severe, you can use cold compresses to relieve the pain. Always remember to express the milk before applying cold compress.

5. You should stop drinking too much soup and avoid eating stewed meat or chicken to reduce nutrition.

If the swelling does not go away and the pain continues, ask your doctor to prescribe pain medication.

It may be more normal. Generally, weaning takes 3-5 days. You can go to the hospital to get a milk-suppressing injection or drink malt soup, or take vitamin B6, etc. If you feel pain due to milk swelling during weaning, you can squeeze out some of it, but not too frequently. You can gradually reduce the number of times you squeeze. If you squeeze it twice on the first day, squeeze it once on the second day. Slowly it disappeared.
