15 weeks pregnant with increased leucorrhea and yellowing

During pregnancy, a woman's body will slowly change as the fetus grows, and the body's endocrine system will also change. Leucorrhea is a normal secretion for every woman, and it is easy to secrete leucorrhea after pregnancy. Increased and yellow leucorrhea during the 15th week of pregnancy may be a manifestation of disease. First of all, it is necessary to observe the condition of the fetus to avoid threatened abortion.

What is the reason for the increase in leucorrhea and yellowing during the 15th week of pregnancy?

This still needs to be checked, because if there is a feeling of falling, then it is necessary to prevent whether it is a precursor problem, and also pay attention to whether there is bleeding, etc.

There are several types of normal leucorrhea

1. Leucorrhea during puberty

With the arrival of puberty, the ovarian follicles begin to develop. Under the influence of estrogen secreted by the follicles, girls often begin to have a small amount of mucous leucorrhea 1 to 2 years before menarche, which lasts until the ovulatory menstrual cycle is established 1 to 2 years after menarche.

2. Leucorrhea during childbearing age

Within 2 to 3 days before ovulation of each menstrual cycle, women of childbearing age experience a gradual rise in estrogen levels, which in turn causes increased mucus secretion from the cervical glands. At this time, thin, transparent, and sticky leucorrhea may appear. 2 to 3 days before menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, more thick leucorrhea may appear.

3. Leucorrhea during pregnancy

During pregnancy, especially from the 3rd to 4th month of pregnancy, due to the significant increase in estrogen and progesterone levels, the secretions of the vaginal wall and the mucus secreted by the cervical glands increase, and there is often more thick and sticky leucorrhea discharged.

4. Leucorrhea in newborns

The vaginal and cervical mucosa of the fetus proliferate due to the influence of estrogen secreted by the placenta, so the newborn has more colorless or white viscous secretions from the vulva in the first 10 days.

What causes yellow leucorrhea in pregnant women?

1. Women's leucorrhea appears milky white or light yellow, with a lot of pus and a strange smell, and is often accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain. It is usually caused by chronic cervicitis and endocervicitis.

2. If the leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green, thin and foamy, or appears rice water-like, grayish white, and has a foul odor, it is usually caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.

3. If the leucorrhea contains blood, it is often seen in cervical polyps, side effects caused by intrauterine contraceptive devices, severe chronic cervicitis, etc.
