Severe preeclampsia

Severe preeclampsia

Severe preeclampsia can usually be treated with medication, and if necessary, a cesarean section is required to terminate the pregnancy as soon as possible.

Severe preeclampsia mainly refers to a more serious condition of preeclampsia, and it is caused by a severe increase in blood pressure. At the same time, the urine will be positive, and there will also be a decrease in platelets or upper abdominal discomfort. Generally, you can choose the appropriate treatment method according to your own situation. If your symptoms are relatively mild, you can generally cooperate with your doctor to use antihypertensive drugs to lower your blood pressure as soon as possible and control it within the normal range. You can also take magnesium sulfate drugs at the same time. However, if the disease progresses rapidly in a short period of time, most patients need to choose cesarean section to terminate the pregnancy as soon as possible within two weeks to avoid affecting themselves or the fetus.

During pregnancy, you must go to the hospital regularly for relevant prenatal check-ups. Through prenatal check-ups, you can closely observe the development of the fetus, especially in the second trimester, when you need to do many aspects of the examination, such as four-dimensional color ultrasound or Down syndrome screening. In addition, you also need to do some routine examinations, such as blood routine or blood pressure, blood lipids, etc. In daily life, you also need to pay attention to dietary adjustments. You need to eat more high-nutrition and high-protein foods. This will allow you to meet the nutritional needs of yourself and the fetus in a timely manner, and it will also help the growth and development of the fetus.
