Vaginitis bleeding in pregnant women

Vaginitis bleeding in pregnant women

Vaginal bleeding in pregnant women may be related to some gynecological diseases.

If there is some inflammation in the vagina, or there are gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease, it is easy to bleed during intercourse. As a pregnant woman, you must be vigilant about vaginal bleeding. In addition to being related to gynecological diseases, the most likely reason is a sign of premature birth. Abdominal pain often occurs at this time.

Vaginitis bleeding in pregnant women

The main problem now is bleeding, which may be a threatened abortion, but an ultrasound examination must be done to confirm a normal intrauterine pregnancy. As for vaginitis, if it is not too serious, no medication is needed for the time being, and you can wait until 3 months later.

Causes of vaginal bleeding during pregnancy

If vaginal bleeding occurs during pregnancy, it means that expectant mothers are likely in a dangerous stage. The amount of bleeding varies from a few milliliters to hundreds of milliliters. Generally speaking, the amount of bleeding is directly proportional to the risk index. But this is not the case in all cases, because some bleeding is invisible, so it is unscientific to judge the condition of expectant mothers based solely on the amount of bleeding clinically. In addition, the severity of different diseases cannot be directly linked to the amount of bleeding.

Pregnancy is divided into three stages: early pregnancy, mid-pregnancy, and late pregnancy. The causes and clinical significance of vaginal bleeding in these three periods are different, so there are different treatments for different situations.

1. Early pregnancy

Causes: miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, etc.

2. Mid-pregnancy

Causes: cervical insufficiency, hydatidiform mole, etc.

3. Late pregnancy

Causes: placenta previa, placental abruption, etc.

4. Note

(1) When the fertilized egg implants, it stimulates the endometrium to a certain extent, which may cause slight punctate bleeding. This is normal and usually occurs during the menstrual cycle.

(2) If miscarriage occurs after the twelfth week of pregnancy, it is basically unrelated to chromosomal abnormalities.

(3) Hydatidiform mole is caused by abnormal fetal development. Most fetuses that are aborted in the middle or late stages of pregnancy are normal, but cannot continue to develop due to other reasons, such as if the pregnant woman has uterine fibroids. If the condition is serious, the uterus will be unable to continue to nurture the fetus.
