Itchy genitals before and after menstruation

Menstruation is the most important physiological companion for women. Only with menstruation can women fully realize their fertility. However, menstruation can also easily cause great troubles to women, causing them to suffer from various problems. Women during their menstrual period face numerous minor problems, which cause great troubles in their lives. Let’s take a look at what causes vaginal itching before and after menstruation.

Common causes of vulvar itching:

1. Chronic local irritation, irritation from abnormal secretions of vulva, vagina and cervix inflammation;

2. Unclean vulva and tight synthetic underwear, sanitary napkins, etc. lead to poor permeability;

3. Vulvar parasitic diseases, such as pubic lice, pinworms, scabies, etc.;

4. Various vulvar skin diseases and vulvar tumors, etc.;

5. Local vulvar symptoms of systemic diseases, such as diabetes, uremia, vitamin deficiency, etc.

Do not scratch it during menstruation:

The way to deal with vulvar itching during menstruation is not to scratch or scald, but to keep the body clean and dry, such as using soft, breathable sanitary napkins, and washing the area with warm water to avoid the growth of itchy bacteria. Also remember to change sanitary napkins frequently and wash your hands before changing them.

In order to avoid poor ventilation, you should also avoid wearing tight clothes during menstruation. If the private parts are covered too tightly, body odor will not be easily dissipated, and the long-term closed state can easily cause vulvar itching.

If the itching does not subside and is accompanied by other symptoms and feels abnormal, it should be considered to be caused by an internal disease. At this time, you should choose a regular hospital for a gynecological examination.

Vulvar itching diet should pay attention to:

1. Do not eat foods that cause hair loss. Such as fish, shrimp, crab, chicken head, pork head, goose meat, chicken wings, chicken feet, etc., eating them will aggravate the itching and inflammation of the genitals;

2. Try to eat less spicy and irritating food. For example: onions, peppers, chili peppers, prickly ash, mustard greens, fennel;

3. Quit smoking and drinking. Tobacco and alcohol are strong irritants and will aggravate inflammation.
