Will cervical erosion heal on its own?

Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease, but many female friends do not care about it. If cervical erosion is severe, it will cause irreversible damage to the health of the uterus. Cervical erosion will not heal on its own, so patients need to receive timely treatment and recover as soon as possible.

1. Will cervical erosion heal on its own?

It will not heal on its own. If it is moderate or severe cervical erosion, then treatment is required. For moderate cervical erosion, consider using topical medications combined with physical therapy for comprehensive treatment. For severe cervical erosion, then surgical treatment is required.

2. Treatment of cervical erosion

It is recommended to use local treatment as the main method. If the erosion area is large or the inflammatory infiltration is deep, freezing, laser, or electric ironing therapy can be used. If the erosion area is small or the inflammatory infiltration is shallow, local medication can be used. During the period from treatment to complete healing, care should be taken to keep the vulva clean, avoid bathing, sexual intercourse and vaginal douching, and check the healing status regularly.

2. Daily precautions for cervical erosion

First: Pay attention to personal hygiene, change clothes frequently, and use disinfectant to sterilize first.

Second: Do not take antibiotics and do not clean the vagina frequently, as this can easily destroy the acid-base environment of the vagina.

Third: remember to wash your hands frequently. Toilets, bathtubs, bath seats, towels, and using unclean toilet paper can all cause infection.

Fourth: Avoid spicy food during the attack.

Fifth: When using a public toilet, try to avoid sitting on the toilet; showers are recommended instead of baths; do not sit directly on the bathroom seat after bathing; do not swim in a swimming pool that is not properly disinfected.

Sixth: Do not over-clean the vulva. Just clean it with clean water once a day, and do not clean the vagina.

Seventh: Avoid frequent sexual activity, multiple sexual partners, and unclean sexual activity.

Eighth: Wash the vulva every day, change your underwear and put it in a ventilated place to dry; use your own basin and towel for your own use; wash your underwear and socks in different basins; pay attention to hygiene during menstruation. Wear loose cotton underwear and avoid tight pants.
