Brown discharge during 6 months of pregnancy

Brown discharge during 6 months of pregnancy

If there is brown discharge during pregnancy, there are two situations to consider: First, there is a small amount of brown discharge around the time when your period should have come. This should be considered as habitual bleeding during the menstrual period. This situation is fine and does not need to be treated, just observe it. Second, if there is dark brown secretion accompanied by abdominal pain, lower abdominal distension and other abnormal symptoms, you should consider the possibility of threatened abortion. You need to go to the hospital to draw blood to test the HCG and progesterone levels to check whether the progesterone level is slightly low. If the progesterone level is too low, observe how much bleeding occurs. If the bleeding stops on its own, there is no need to treat it, just rest in bed.

Brown discharge is not likely to appear after pregnancy. If brown discharge appears during pregnancy, it is considered to be a threatened miscarriage. If brown discharge appears in the early stages of pregnancy and there is obvious abdominal pain, ectopic pregnancy should also be considered, and the cause of the disease needs to be determined through B-ultrasound examination.

However, some pregnant women will have a small amount of brown discharge during their menstrual period in the early stages of pregnancy. This condition is related to genetic inheritance and the body's hormone secretion. When the body's estrogen secretion increases, a small amount of brown discharge will occur during the menstrual period, but the bleeding time will not be long and there will not be obvious abdominal pain. According to the blood test, the HCG and progesterone values are within the normal range and no special treatment is required in this case.

If brown discharge appears in early pregnancy, you need to pay attention to check whether there is any abdominal pain. Abdominal pain should first rule out threatened abortion and you should go to the hospital immediately to test the progesterone level in the blood. If the progesterone level is low, it indicates a sign of miscarriage and you should promptly adopt tocolytic treatment, which can be taken orally or by intramuscular injection of corpus progesterone copper. Brown discharge may also occur during the implantation period. If the progesterone level is not low, it is a normal phenomenon and does not require special treatment.
