Is breast fibroid hereditary?

Is breast fibroid hereditary?

Breast disease is still too troublesome for women, because not only is it difficult to treat, but it also has a huge impact on their lives. Take some women who have just become mothers, for example. Because they have problems with their mammary glands, it will affect normal breastfeeding. In addition, because the breasts are always painful, work efficiency will become lower. So, is breast fibroid hereditary?

Breast fibroma is a mixed tumor of fibrous tissue and glandular epithelium occurring in the mammary lobule and is the most common type of benign breast tumor. It is generally believed that it is closely related to the active action of estrogen and is common in women during the period of strong sexual function. It can occur in women of any age after puberty, but is more common in young women aged 18 to 25.

Breast fibroids have painless breast lumps as the main clinical symptom, which often occur in the upper outer part of the breast. About 75% are single, and a few are multiple, usually not accompanied by breast pain and nipple discharge. Its size and characteristics generally do not change with the menstrual cycle. The lump usually grows slowly but may enlarge rapidly during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Sarcomatous degeneration of the fibrous component and severe degeneration of the epithelial component may occur in approximately 17% of cases.

Guidance:

It is generally believed that it is not hereditary. However, breast fibroids have no effect on pregnancy, but pregnancy does have an effect on breast fibroids. The main cause of breast fibroids is the stimulation of estrogen, which makes women more susceptible to breast fibroids. Therefore, it is usually recommended that patients with multiple breast fibroids consider pregnancy after treatment. Pregnancy will produce a large amount of estrogen in the body, which may cause the breast fibroids to grow rapidly. If treatment is performed during pregnancy, it will have a negative effect on the baby. Therefore, it is best for patients with breast fibroids to be treated first and then become pregnant.
