Can I massage lobular hyperplasia?

Can I massage lobular hyperplasia?

The importance of breasts to women is self-evident, but for adult women, at least seven or eight out of ten will experience breast hyperplasia. Generally speaking, if there is only a little hyperplasia, there is no need for treatment because it will not affect the normal functioning of the body. However, if the hyperplasia is more serious, treatment is necessary. So, can lobular hyperplasia be massaged?

1. Can I have massage if I have lobular hyperplasia?

The breast is mainly composed of three parts: lobules, ducts and surrounding fibrofatty tissue. When proliferative changes occur in the cells of the lobules or ducts, breast hyperplasia occurs. Medically, these growths are called proliferative lesions. Under normal circumstances, once they occur, they cannot be reversed, so the claim of massage treatment is not entirely reliable. If the massage method is improper, it may aggravate the condition. However, proper massage can still be effective in controlling its development.

2. How to check lobular hyperplasia of breast

It is recommended that patients with lobular breast hyperplasia go to the hospital for a specialist examination and breast ultrasound every 3 to 6 months. Patients over 40 years old should also have a mammogram once a year.

3. Should I panic if I have lobular breast hyperplasia?

Lobular hyperplasia of the breast will generally disappear on its own in about 1 to 3 years, and the cancer rate is below 1%. Some scholars also believe that it will not turn into cancer, so there is no need to panic too much, and regular follow-up examinations are sufficient.

4. How to treat lobular hyperplasia

Lobular hyperplasia of the breast is an endocrine system disease and has no indication for surgical treatment. If local surgical resection of the diseased tissue is performed, there will still be a high recurrence rate. Therefore, surgical treatment cannot fundamentally solve the problem. It is generally recommended to use traditional Chinese medicine treatment or regular clinical follow-up examinations.
