Short-acting oral contraceptives are divided into single-phase, bi-phase, and triphasic tablets. The main ingredients are estrogen and progesterone, and they are all taken in a complete cycle of 28 days.

1. The dosage of each tablet of single-phase combined oral contraceptives is the same. Common single-phase oral contraceptives have 21 tablets per box. Take 1 tablet per day. After taking it for 21 consecutive days, stop taking it for 7 days and then take the next box.

2. Biphasic tablets and triphasic tablets are also called multi-phasic tablets. There are two dosage forms in one box of biphasic tablets, and there are three dosage forms in one box of triphasic tablets. They need to be taken in the order indicated on the package.

The short-acting oral contraceptives on the market in my country are mainly single-phase tablets, and common brands include Yasmin, Marvelon, Diane 35, etc.

Although some short-acting oral contraceptives are over-the-counter drugs and can be purchased directly at pharmacies, since each person's physical condition is different, the most suitable ingredients and dosages are also different. Therefore, it is recommended that female friends take them under the guidance of professionals such as doctors or pharmacists, and read the drug instructions carefully.
