Is it serious if the high-risk HPV39 is positive?

If some diseases are high-risk types, it means they are already very serious and need to be treated in time. However, viruses are complex and serious, so it is often necessary to analyze the harmfulness of the virus based on the patient's specific physical condition. A positive high-risk HPV39 result is relatively serious, and the causes are relatively complex. Is a positive high-risk HPV39 result serious?

Scientists divide the relationship between HPV and disease into several types: high-risk, medium-risk and low-risk. In particular, the types that are closely related to human malignant tumors are called high-risk HPV. High-risk HPV include the following: 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, and 68.

A large number of studies have shown that high-risk HPV is closely related to cervical cancer. The main cause of cervical cancer is high-risk HPV. Cervical cancer can be prevented and treated by injecting HPV preventive vaccines. High-risk HPV testing has been used as a means of early screening for cervical cancer.

However, a positive HPV test does not mean that you are already sick. A positive HPV test only indicates HPV infection, which is still a long way from becoming sick.

Many men and women may be infected with HPV in their lifetime. The human body's normal immunity is fully capable of identifying and eliminating HPV. Young women in particular can often clear the virus through their own immunity within 6 to 18 months, turning HPV negative.

If you find that HPV is positive during a physical examination, don't panic too much. At this time, you should first do a cervical cell scraping test (TCT).

If TCT also has abnormalities:

1. The doctor will recommend you to have a colposcopy. The purpose of colposcopy is to comprehensively evaluate whether there are lesions in the cervix, vagina and other parts. Some small and hidden lesions can be found through colposcopy.

2. A biopsy is needed. A biopsy is to take a little tissue, a little bit of flesh for testing, and finally get a pathological diagnosis result. The pathological result is the evidence for determining the treatment plan.

Colposcopy is a critical step in this process. Colposcopy evaluation requires the doctor to conduct a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the cervix, vagina and other parts.

If a detailed colposcopy examination does not reveal any abnormalities, we will consider that the HPV positive is just a virus carrier. At this time, only follow-up observation is needed, just like the common cold virus, there is no need to be nervous.
