Caesarean section with hard lump in the abdomen

Caesarean section with hard lump in the abdomen

It is very common to see nodules on the wound after a cesarean section. The nodules are usually scar tissue, and after a period of time, pain and itching will occur. This is normal in most cases, so you don’t have to worry too much. However, if the nodules are severe, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up and then receive symptomatic treatment. You must take it seriously and don’t be careless.

Symptoms of cesarean section scar hyperplasia

About two to three weeks after the surgical incision has healed after a cesarean section, the scar begins to proliferate. At this time, the local area becomes red, purple, hardened, and protrudes from the skin surface. This lasts for about three to six months. The proliferation of fibrous tissue gradually stops, the scar gradually becomes flat and soft, and the color turns dark brown. These are the symptoms of cesarean section scar hyperplasia.

1. The cesarean section scar becomes sunken and the skin becomes loose, making the belly feel like a chrysanthemum, full of wrinkles and looking wrinkled. It is also the ugliest scar. Such a situation requires plastic surgery and scar prevention.

2. Scar hyperplasia is concave. Such scars are mainly caused by the adhesion of scar tissue to the abdominal wall muscles underneath, forming a depression in the middle. The fat under the skin on both sides of the scar bulges outward. Cesarean section scar hyperplasia can be treated with lipolysis and scar removal surgery. With only two needle holes and an American radio frequency instrument, the problem can be easily solved. The clinical effect is significant and it can also help lose weight.

3. Raised, red or brown, the scars are very tough and usually feel itchy and painful. Scar symptoms will be significantly aggravated after taking spicy and irritating foods. Such scars are best treated with laser scar removal, which can flatten the scars and make their color closer to that of normal skin. One treatment can achieve significant results.

How to take care of cesarean section scars?

1. Pay attention to keeping the scar clean, wipe off sweat stains in time, and be careful not to soak it in hot water, scratch it with your hands, or rub it with clothes. When the wound is just healing, there will be some secretions, which is the most likely place for bacteria to breed. At this time, the epidermis of the wound is very thin, which can easily cause infection and ulceration. During this period, you can clean it with a neutral detergent and then treat it with some anti-scar medication.

2. Apply some topical medications such as Fuqingsong, triamcinolone, dexamethasone, etc. to relieve itching;

3. Improve your diet and eat more fruits, eggs, lean meat, pork skin and other foods rich in vitamins C, E and essential amino acids. These foods can promote blood circulation and improve epidermal metabolism. Avoid eating spicy foods such as peppers, onions and garlic.

4. Keep the scar clean and hygienic, wipe off sweat in time, do not scratch it with your hands, rub the scar with clothes or use water to relieve itching, so as not to aggravate local irritation, promote inflammatory reaction of connective tissue, and cause further itching.

5. After the scars and scabies are removed, silicone care dressings such as Mepiform should be used immediately to prevent scar hyperplasia, prevent scar hyperplasia and protrusions, increase pigmentation, and affect appearance. If it is a permanent scar that has existed for many years, it can also be used for treatment to remove hyperplasia, dissipate pigmentation, etc.
