What to do if the endometrium is thick and has polyps

Endometrial polyps are a very common female disease, and most women will develop this disease when they are in their 40s or 50s, because women enter menopause when they are in their 40s or 50s, and menstruation stops at this time. With the cessation of menstruation, uterine function will decline, which is likely to cause uterine polyps. So what should patients do if they have endometrial polyps?

Cervical polyps are easily overlooked because more than one-third of patients lack obvious symptoms and are only discovered during doctor's examination. Even if there are symptoms, most of them are mild, mainly a small amount of bright red spotting, or a small amount of bleeding after sexual intercourse, which is sometimes mistaken for "menstruation". The amount of bleeding in a few people may be similar to menstruation. Some patients may have yellow leucorrhea, most of which have an odor, or blood in the leucorrhea; it can also manifest as vaginal bleeding after menopause, and unmarried patients often have a swelling protruding from the vaginal opening.

Symptoms : increased leucorrhea, blood in leucorrhea, or bleeding during intercourse. You can go to the hospital for further examination and diagnosis through a digital colposcope.

Endometrial hyperplasia is clinically manifested as functional uterine bleeding, with the main symptoms being irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation and excessive menstrual flow. Generally, the amount of bleeding is large and the effect of drug treatment is slow. If the amount of bleeding is large, a diagnostic curettage can be performed, which can not only stop the bleeding, but also perform pathological analysis on the cause of the bleeding, and determine whether the endometrium is in the proliferative phase or the secretory phase, thereby indirectly determining the state of follicular development and the presence or absence of ovulation, and providing symptomatic treatment.

Abnormal endometrial thickening can lead to infertility. The endometrium is affected by the hormone levels in the body. If it thickens excessively, it is mainly due to changes in hormone levels. This can not only affect menstruation, but may also affect normal ovulation. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that it may affect pregnancy. If the estrogen and progesterone levels in the body are at abnormal values, it will affect pregnancy and may even lead to infertility. It is recommended to go to a professional hospital for treatment.
