The harm of sanitary napkin fluorescent agent

We all know that women's periods are their good friends. As important as periods are sanitary napkins. Almost every woman will use sanitary napkins, and when using sanitary napkins, you must carefully choose them. You must buy those produced by regular manufacturers. Don't buy some random ones for cheap, because there are some fluorescent agents in many bathrooms. So what are the hazards of sanitary napkin fluorescent agents?

1. Fluorescent agent is a fluorescent dye. In order to increase the whiteness of the product, many factories secretly add this dye, which is strictly prohibited internationally, into sanitary napkins. Expose the sanitary napkin under ultraviolet light (such as the ultraviolet light of a banknote detector). If bright fluorescence is seen on the adhesive surface, it is likely to contain a fluorescent agent. Since fluorescent agents are listed as one of the potential carcinogens, we cannot take it lightly.

2. If fluorescent agent is allowed to come into contact with the human body in excessive amounts, many harmful effects will occur. Scientists' research shows that after fluorescent agents are absorbed by the human body, they are not as easily decomposed as general chemical components. Once the fluorescent agent combines with the protein in the human body, it is very difficult to remove it. It can only be excreted from the body through the enzymes in the liver, which undoubtedly increases the burden on the liver. If there is a wound on the body, the fluorescent agent will combine with the protein in the wound and hinder the wound's healing ability. According to medical clinical experiments, it has been found that fluorescent substances can cause cell mutation. If the fluorescent agent is exposed to excessive amounts, the toxicity will accumulate in the liver or other important organs, which will become a potential carcinogenic factor.

3. It is understood that my country has no clear requirements on the standards of sanitary napkin adhesives, but developed countries such as Japan have special inspections on sanitary napkin adhesives and do not allow them to contain fluorescent agents. Sanitary napkins are products that every woman needs to use for half her life. Good sanitary napkins can bring us lifelong safety. We should try to choose sanitary napkins with adhesive backing that does not contain fluorescent agents to add an extra layer of protection for our health.
