There is a hard lump on the vulva that does not hurt or itch

Gynecological diseases are relatively common diseases among women, especially married women, who are much more likely to suffer from gynecological diseases than unmarried women who do not have sexual life. Some women feel that there are lumps on their vulva, some of which are of different sizes, but they are not painful or itchy, but they feel uncomfortable as if there is something inside. Although there are no symptoms, you still need to see a doctor for your health.

1. Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually transmitted disease-related lumps are mostly located in the perineum and vulva. Among them, genital warts are the most common. After this disease, which is transmitted through sexual intercourse between husband and wife, occurs, red or purple lumps can be seen in the genitals. The surface is uneven, the texture is soft, and they may be scattered independently or fused, resembling cauliflower. There are also more serious local irritation symptoms, foul odor and bleeding, which make the entire genitals moist and soak the underwear.

2. Scar tissue

If there is a history of injury to the vulva or the perineum was cut during childbirth, it is possible that scar tissue of varying sizes will be left locally. When you first get married, the hymen is torn quite severely, and after healing, some flakes of tissue are still hanging on the vulva. This type of lump will not cause any special discomfort in the genitals.

3. Internal diseases

Internal disease lumps are caused by diseases inside the body. Inguinal oblique hernia can cause a reducible mass on the labia majora on the hernia side; filariasis infection can cause rubber-like swelling of the labia; urethral adenoma can also cause swelling of the urethral opening or clitoris. There is also the common uterine prolapse, which may cause blockage of the vulva with a mass, accompanied by low back pain, lower abdominal distension, difficulty in movement, and even urinary incontinence. This is due to the relaxation of the pelvic floor tissue after childbirth.

4. Tumor-like lumps on the vulva

Most tumor-like lumps grow on the labia majora, but sometimes both labia majora and minora grow at the same time. These include: simple papilloma that resembles a pedunculated mushroom or cauliflower, fibroma with a hard texture and rough surface, slow-growing lipoma, sweat adenoma with nodular protrusions, red or blue spongy hemangioma, vulvar tumor with local itching, bleeding or ulceration, etc.

In terms of caring for women, experts have given these diseases related to lumps on the female vulva in order to increase women's awareness and remind them not to really regard small problems in life as small problems. This is wrong. However, be careful not to worry too much, because it may not be what you imagine. Just be at ease and take good care of yourself!
