I have been taking ibuprofen for 5 years for dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea refers to lower abdominal pain and heaviness before, during, or after menstruation, accompanied by backache or other discomfort. The symptoms seriously affect the quality of life and are one of the more common gynecological symptoms. What impact will it have if you take ibuprofen granules for menstrual pain for 5 years?

Ibuprofen granules have a certain effect in alleviating primary dysmenorrhea without genital lesions, but are not suitable for long-term or frequent use. Long-term use of medication may cause some side effects, including gastrointestinal reactions, abnormal liver function, granulocytopenia, coagulation disorders and abnormalities in the central nervous system.

And menstrual pain may also be caused by organic pelvic diseases. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for further examination and then receive treatment after diagnosis by a doctor. You should keep warm and eat less cold food and drinks.

Menstrual pain is divided into two categories. 1. Primary dysmenorrhea Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that occurs without organic diseases of the reproductive system. 2. Secondary dysmenorrhea Secondary dysmenorrhea is indirect dysmenorrhea caused by some organic diseases of the pelvis. Therefore, it is recommended that friends who have menstrual pain problems go to the hospital for gynecological examinations, B-ultrasound, laparoscopy and other related examinations to determine what type of menstrual pain they suffer from. If it is secondary menstrual pain, the diagnosis should be confirmed and the original disease should be treated as soon as possible. Diseases such as endometriosis and adenomyosis may cause menstrual pain.

Ways to relieve dysmenorrhea:

1. Heat

Applying heat to the lower abdomen can help relieve uterine cramps, promote blood circulation in the abdomen, and relieve dysmenorrhea.

If you use heated Chinese medicine for hot compress, or do moxibustion on the abdomen, it is very good to use raw salt acupuncture therapy for hot compress. This method can promote blood circulation, dredge meridians, regulate qi and relieve pain. It can be said that the effect is very good.

2. Quit smoking and drinking

Some people think that cigarettes contain anesthetic ingredients, so smoking can be effective for menstrual pain. In fact, this practice is like forgetting the fishing net after catching the fish, which is very dangerous. In severe cases, it may cause excessive blood loss. If edema occurs during menstruation, alcoholic beverages should be strictly prohibited.

Because ethanol can aggravate edema. In addition, alcohol may directly or indirectly affect the changes in estrogen levels and disrupt the normal physiological cycle.

3. Eat a healthy diet

Eat more nutritious and healthy foods, such as vegetables, fruits, chicken, fish, and also eat more warming foods, such as red dates, ginger and longan, which are very beneficial to women's health. In your daily diet, eating small and frequent meals can help reduce the degree of menstrual pain.

4. Soak your feet in hot water

Ladies can also relieve dysmenorrhea by soaking their feet in hot water. Wash your feet with warm water for 30 minutes every night before going to bed, and keep the temperature constant. If you sweat while soaking your feet in hot water, don't take off your clothes, just wipe the sweat with toilet paper or a soft cotton towel.

Then go to sleep immediately, so that hot water foot bath can play the role of regulating qi and relieving pain and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. As long as the blood circulation is smooth, menstrual pain will not occur.
