Delayed menstruation and stringy leucorrhea

Delayed menstruation and stringy leucorrhea

Menstrual irregularity refers to a woman's menstrual cycle being too short or too long, or her menstrual flow being too much or too little. Irregular menstruation often manifests itself as abdominal pain during and before and after menstruation. Irregular menstruation can bring many serious consequences, and delayed menstruation is a manifestation of irregular menstruation. Delayed menstruation refers to the delay in the onset of menstruation. So, what does it mean when menstruation is delayed and leucorrhea is stringy?

There are two main reasons for delayed menstruation. One is pregnancy, and the other is delayed menstruation caused by irregular menstruation. If your period has been delayed for 10 days, it is recommended that you use a test strip to check whether you are pregnant. If the early pregnancy test does not detect pregnancy, you should consider that the delayed menstruation is caused by irregular menstruation. You should quickly check the cause of the irregular menstruation and receive timely symptomatic treatment.

Psychological factors, environmental changes, abnormal climate, work pressure, mental stress, etc. can cause early or delayed menstruation. In other words, irregular menstruation means that menstruation loses its normal regularity. If it is less than 21 days or more than 35 days for three consecutive months, it is irregular menstruation. You should go to a regular Chinese medicine hospital. After diagnosis, it is better to use Chinese medicine for conditioning. No treatment is needed for an occasional occurrence.

The amount and texture of leucorrhea are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and show cyclical changes in amount, and texture, with the menstrual cycle. Generally speaking, the amount of leucorrhea after menstruation is relatively small. Before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands are promoted to proliferate, and the secretion of cervical mucus increases. During ovulation, the amount of leucorrhea will increase, and it will be thinner in texture, clear in color, and can be stretched into long threads.

Generally speaking, women's secretions will increase during ovulation, and transparent, stringy leucorrhea will appear. The leucorrhea can be very long and not easy to break. It is clear, transparent, elastic, and egg white-like. The day with the most, thinnest and strongest resistance to stringing leucorrhea is often the ovulation period. I suggest you go to the hospital for a blood HCG test.

After ovulation, estrogen levels decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea thicker, milky white, less ductile, and easy to break.

In short, if a normal adult woman finds that her menstruation is delayed for more than seven days after having sex, she should first consider whether she is pregnant. Because individuals vary greatly, we cannot judge ourselves based on only partial information. The safest method is to go to the hospital for a blood test to confirm and prevent ectopic pregnancy.
