Why are the labia majora different in size?

Women's physical health is reflected in many aspects, among which physical health cannot be ignored, because physical health has a great impact on women's lives, and problems will cause damage to women in all aspects. For example, there are many physiological issues that women do not understand very well. Among them, what is the reason for the different sizes of labia? Let’s take a look at the explanation below. I hope women can understand it.

The labia are unique organs of girls. Just like their appearance, every girl is unique. During puberty, some girls will inadvertently discover that their labia are one larger than the other and completely asymmetrical.

Usually a girl's labia minora is located on the inside of the labia majora, with two pieces on the left and right, which can play the role of covering and protecting the vaginal opening. Generally, the labia minora on both sides are basically symmetrical in size, but there may be slight differences. If the labia minora are too large and hang outside the perineum, it is easy for friction to cause skin and mucous membrane ulcers when walking, which brings inconvenience to daily life. Sometimes the labia minora on both sides are too different in size, which will make the vulva less beautiful. Although asymmetric labia size will not pose any danger to physical health, it will have a serious impact on girls' self-psychology. Because of the unsightly appearance, it will cause psychological barriers to girls and bring many inconveniences to their future life. In addition, enlarged labia minora can also cause some minor troubles for girls in daily life, such as discomfort due to local squeezing and friction when exercising, walking, cycling or sitting for a long time. Or during menstruation, there may be pain due to friction from sanitary napkins.

The reasons why some girls have asymmetrical labia sizes are very complex, some are genetic, and some are acquired. Acquired hyperplasia is generally caused by long-term local irritation or friction of the labia minora, such as female vaginal inflammation and long-term stimulation of inflammatory secretions, which lead to chronic hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the skin and mucous membranes of the labia minora and increased pigmentation of the local skin and mucous membranes. Frequent riding of bicycles or motorcycles can also cause hypertrophy of the labia minora due to long-term friction and squeezing of the local area.

Girls' labia are asymmetrical in size, and this phenomenon can be improved through plastic surgery. The surgical method is usually to partially remove the enlarged labia minora. The principle is that the size of the labia minora should be moderate after surgery, the appearance of the labia minora on both sides should be as similar as possible, and the impact on sensitive nerves should be minimized as much as possible. The surgery is best performed after the menstruation is over. After the surgery, you should pay attention to rest and it is best to rest in bed.
